Will do!
Just for clarity after having read the "SUMMARY COSTS ASSESSMENT TO FILE AND SERVE WITH YOUR WITNESS STATEMENT" guidance in the newbies thread, I have neither a named judge or CEL's legal representative to send my costs claim to - CEL never named their legal representative on any of the paperwork and did not send me a DQ, and the court never (got the chance to?) sent me a name or a date by which I was to submit witness statements.
So can I address it to "HM Courts & Tribunals Service, The County Court at ..." from the Notice of Trial Date and struck out letters? And then send a copy with my bank details to CEL, Horton House, Liverpool etc?
Is that the best way to ask for costs?0 -
You send to the address on the claim form! That's their contact address. You have your local courts address. You repeat the order word for word1

You don't have a named Judge on that Order?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Keep everything. I'm sure i read a thread where the claimant wrote to the court and the claim was reinstated. Possible admin issue with courts being restricted due to the virus.
Hopefully not, but stay prepared.1 -
They've got a court account so pay directly. Doesn't require the court to be open.0

Yes but we've seen those reinstated before too - some old chestnut about 'bulk' payments being made and not attributed fully to all the claims. An admin issue could be the reason.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
