Is Claim Form valid? FURTHER UPDATE CLAIM HAS BEEN STRUCK OUT - ALL OVER?

more later, but yes it looks like they have bottled it.
As for anyone owing money, you may be able to claim against them for costs etcFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I'd also like to issue a GDPR right to be forgotten request if that is possible in case they plan to resurrect this later?0

Am I still " liable for the costs which the defendant has incurred" (and if so, why?).Errm...YOU are the Defendant. Which bit are you quoting there, exactly?
Did you put in a WS and a Summary Costs Schedule? Why not contact the court asking for your costs to be ordered to be paid by the Claimant, as BlueToffee did in the case shown in the NEWBIES thread?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes I am the Defendant, I just thought it was weird that the letter addressed to me said "You" will be liable - but looking at it again, It was the Notice of Trial Date form so I guess they just send it to both parties and they meant Civil Enforcement LTD.
I am open to suggestions on next steps. I would like to punish them for wasting my time for months but equally I don't want them to try and resurrect the claim at a later date as I have seen some do on here. Is asking for costs going to make it more or less likely they will do that? Is trying to get them to delete my data a better way to put it to bed?

It is only over when you say it is. Read this,

For the cost of a stamp you could cause them a lot of work. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
Their chance of resurrecting the claim is pretty much nil. Theyd have to explain why they couldnt pay on time.
As they didnt discontinue but had the claim struck, you could ask the court to Order your costs are paid - your time off work youve booked?

Well you quickly reply, quoting what the Notice of Trial Date said about them being liable for your costs and ask for your costs to be granted because you had already filed & served your summary costs assessment.
Like BlueToffee did. I put examples & links in the NEWBIES thread for a good reason!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did not file a WS and a Summary Costs Schedule - so I guess the only thing I can do is some form of GDPR right to be forgotten request and then a SAR follow up to make them prove they have complied?0
-
Yes, you can do that and also complain to your MP about the industry and what happened to you.
Oh, and well done - congrats - yet another discontinuance!

Thank you - couldn't have done it without the experts on here of course!
I take it there is absolutely no point in still trying to claim costs given I didn't file a Summary Costs schedule at the time (was worried about it making them more likely to go through with it)?
But that:
The Notice of Trial Date Did say about them being liable for my costs if they didn't pay the trial fee or apply for help with costs, which they did not
The Notice of Trial Date Did Not say subject to me having filed my costs already
The fact that they didn't discontinue but had the claim struck
I have incurred further costs subsequent to the point at which I could have filed Summary Costs in terms of - preparing for court the week after next, non-refundable time off work I have already booked, plus loss of earning for commission-based work I had to turn down on that day?
