It is cold and wet here and do not feel like doing anything but need to stir myself at some point.

Might bake a loaf of bread and make chocolate muffins as a start so it looks as if I have been slaving away for hours.

Tea will probably be roast potatoes or wedges with courgettes in cheese sauce and salmon steak or chicken pieces as that will use up some of the veg.

Might manage to grab some of the home made soup I made the other day if DH has not scoffed it all for lunch.

I also need to have a look at the pressies I bought and list them - showing who gets what before I try to get stuff wrapped.

Might go out later and get some rolls of plain metallic wrapping paper so each daughter can have her own colour and can pick out her pressies at a glance- blue, purple, green and silver if I can get it.

Going for a hot drink so see you later and hugs to all!

Culpepper you must always go to the doctors for antibiotics when you get a cat bite - I work in a vets and they hand out leaflets to tell you this because cats mouths are notorious for germs and it could turn nasty.

    Hi everyone!
Hope all is well. Haven't been around much due to various bits of domestic trivia [son had an infected arm and OH tried to saw off his thumb:eek: but everyone's thankfully on the mend now.
OS continues apace and today have put out the recycling and put away the large pile of ironing from yesterday. This coming weekend am planning to have a Christmas weekend so shall be wrapping all the pressies [with OH's asssitance], making mincemeat and hopefully a few hm cards. Have chosen a very simple design which I hope shouldn't even defeat a simple soul like me!
Most of our OS recently has been taken up with moving things on with the kitchen. OH has now finished stripping off the hideous plaster effect we inherited from the previous owner and the new doors arrived last week [we're reusing the carcases to save money]. I have to say that although they were cheap and cheerful I'm very pleased with them. If I ever master the technology perhaps one day I'll be brave and post a piccie on the kitchen photo thread. Could be quite some time off yet though!
Tonight I am going to update our accounts and then hopefully get some more cross stitch done [I've started another dollshouse carpet]. Am also hoping, if time permits, to nip into the local fabric shop and see if they've got any pretty buttons. Have decided to try and jazz up a cardy I rarely wear for the festive season rather than try and find an outfit which I probably won't wear again. We're having BBQ pasta for tea.

    Afternoon all,

I like to post on this thread occasionally when I have time (although I should really be working away as I am working from home today :o ).

When I do go to work I normally have to get up at 6:30am but today I had a lie in until 8:00am.

Did all the dinner dishes from last night then dropped DS(3) off at my parents. My mum kindly made me breakfast. Yum. Offered to post an Ebay item I sold yesterday and gave me some lunch to take away. :D

By the time I got back it was about 10:20am. Logged onto my work e-mails and answered everyone.

Then made the bed, hoovered kitchen, entrace area/stairs/landing and 1 bedroom.

Then onto MSE. Bad idea as I can't tear myself away. Then onto Ebay. Sold 2 items to 1 buyer and have so far resisted packing it all up for posting away as I should be doing a report.

By this time it's 12:30pm. DH rings to have a small moan about work. I have my lunch then go back to checking my e-mails. Have started my report now but boy is it going to be a long night.

Oh, mioliere mentioned tins of Celebration chocolates at Woolworths for £5. When I went to Tesco last Friday you could buy 2 tins for £9. Not sure how long the offer is on for but I thought it was pretty good.

Better go and do some work. :o

  • Hi Guys!!

Hope everyone is well as I havent had time to read through the posts.

Had 2 hospital visits this morning and my daily injections are starting up again:eek:   ...I have to go back tomorrow and next week...I hate hospitals!

Popped in to Sainsburys with OH pushing me in the manual wheelchair on way home...those bloomin trolleys you fix to the chair are a nightmare. Bought some green peppers and green thai paste for BargainRzl recipe and grabbed bits we needed for later this week. Got the weeks shopping for £28, then used £4 in luncheon vouchers..so best pleased. There were some good bargains to be found but I wont bore you with them all.

Have got a 1kg bag of chicken breasts out for the curry and am thinking of doing in the SC:confused: ....will do a few extra portions and freeze for quick lunches/dinners as I have a ton of MW rice we bought reduced in Lidl to 29p each.

Washload done and put on airer. DW emptied and toilet scrubbed. House generally clean and tidy.

Must do some more reading of my course tonight. I am seriously thinking of deferring till next year, but will see how I feel in the next few days. Thing is I am ill and tired all the time but the coursework keeps me sane and focused and mum has always said "use it or loose it!"...and I dont want to loose it...well I have already I think:D

OH has sent off 3 parcels for me and I listed another 10 items yesterday. I am determined to clear out under my stairs by Xmas and gain that space back again.

Chickens are doing fine and we are averaging between 1-2 eggs per day:j :j ...I think that is quite good but not too sure.

Anyway, I am rambling. Hugs to all.

It is no more than some little tiny scabs now.
    All the best

  • Afternoon all :) Hugs to anyone who needs them, esp all the poorly kiddies

Its freezing here and DD went to school this morning in her new trousers so shes feeling very grown up bless her. OH working from home and generally getting under my feet so i've been at my mams most of the day - luckily living right next door in terraced houses i can still get my wireless signal lol :D

Over the past week i have just lost all enthusiasm (sp?) for cooking and meal planning, luckily i have some meals already prepared in the freezer because i'm ok until i smell anything cooking. When i was pg with DD i felt sick all the time but this time it seems to be only when i smell hot food. I've been living on sandwiches and cereal lol.

    Take care all

:o Hi again, had a little spend up.

Ended up at The Range http://www.therange.co.uk/scat/listofstores and got tempted. Sitting yesterday and looking at my lounge curtains, think - I'm fed up of these terracotta/gold swags and tails, they are now showing they are not new, and I want a change, this thought has occurred to me frequently, but not done anything about it up to now. However, I saw some cream lined curtains with tie backs 90 x 90 for £32.99 ane couldn't resists

    Hello all,

Not had too good a day today.

The new job I have started is alright, but its a 45 minute drive (at least £10 fuel), plus I have to pay to park (around £5), so its not really worth it. I am continuing to look.

Tea tonight was fish, chips ad mushy peas. Have done all the washing up (OH actually helped to dry). Think I will do some Ebay listings later. Could make som flapjacks.

    Have a good one

Just to let you know I haven't really kept up last few days. Life is rather hectic. DGS2 not bad with his asthma attack but totally off the wall with the steroids. A bit aggresive. Spent time there also with other DGSs. Had weekend visitors, nice but more drink than I'm happy with. Work, well what can I say! Have had pms from some of you -thanks.

Love to all and take care with you and your families.
