morning all,
No snow here at all, just rain and more rain, we did manage to get the dog to the woods yesterday, we were dressed up like mummies because of the cold, and it started to rain just as we got there  , little dog loved it of course, we managed about an hour, but then came home soaked to the skin and shivering, but a change of clothes and a roast dinner did the job.
Got the usual housework to do this morning, then off to hospital this afternoon, to have a pre op assesment, might pop into chichester afterwards to get wrapping paper, and will start that job tomorrow.

Nasty weather here in Essex today - cold and raining. Never mind OH is doing the school run and its lovely and warm in my office. Loads of paperwork today - hoping to get a lot done.
Ironing later but very little housework to do.
Have got some chicken out of the freezer and its chicken wraps for tea tonight. When the kids get home we are going to sit down and properly do their Xmas lists - everyone wants to know what they want so they can go shopping. I have done all the adult pressies - will get as much as possible of the kids online then will go shopping next week and finish up.
I must remember to upload a photo I have of my and my sisters children to put on canvas for my Nan - she will be getting that and some lovely chocolate - its hard to buy for a 96 year old.!
Anway quick surf, finish coffee and then nose to the grindstone.
Have a great day.

Good morning everyone,
I slept funny on Saturday night, and woke with some upper back and neck pain - and its still here today - had trouble sleeping last night, but thats nothing new.
Everyone is now going to hate me now, ive managed to get all my christmas cards written, all my presents wrapped, and ive even got all my christmas food in (bar the fresh stuff). I do need to buy my mums present, but she hasnt told me what she would like yet so cant do anything about hers until she does. Just waiting for Nov 30th so i can get the decs up, and i will be happy.
Only 1 LO today, i have a stew going in the SC and want to make some biscuits and butter bean burgers as well - LO will prob play with some pots with pasta in, as he is a bit young to help at the mo. The first load is on in the WM, and will have another to do once that is finished.
OK, better get DD moving, we need to leave in 8 minutes, and she is still in bed - you will hear the shouts in a moment, so block your ears!!!
HUGS to anyone who wants/needs one, have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all :hello:
I'm still feeling rubbish. I went into school for two days last week because the doctor said that I could do admin work. I did TRY to teach, but only survived half a morning before my voice just wouldn't work again. I'm concerned that the antibiotics aren't really working. On Friday, the deputy said that if I'm not feeling well enough then they don't want me in school! Needless to say, I'm at home again and waiting for the doctor's surgery to open because the school either want me to get signed off OR go in and teach. I'm really worried that the doctor will not sign me off. I just feel that I can't go in and do a good job. Nor do I want anyone (doc or school) to think that I'm swinging the lead!
So, plans for the day:
phone docs in 5 mins when the surgery opens.
rest
sleep
Sorry I'm not feeling more cheery.

Morning everyone :hello:
Very windy here today but the rain was quite minimal during the night so at least I didn't lie awake all night expecting the rain to come in through the ceiling. W**k today but boss and his wife won't be in till lunchtime as they are getting new carpets fitted this morning.
He really is a great boss so I won't complain - he has offered me free use of his holiday home in France during the peak season! :j I think he wants to make it up to me for leaving me to run the office when he has had so many holidays this year.He is also giving me four days holiday over Christmas when I only have 1 day left. I'm so lucky to have a boss like him.
Snowy I think the first day back after a holiday is always the worst - it just seems to drag. Hope your first day is better than that.
N9eav we had a finance committee meeting at our school and the Clerk to the Governors was a headteacher who took early retirement and moved across to the LEA side of things. She said the school advertised her job 5 times! and they still haven't found a replacement for her. Good luck on finding your HT.
mioliere my DS must be getting a head start on the interrupting. He tends to sit very quietly doing whatever he's doing until I pick up a book then he decides he would love to have a chat with me! Much as I love chatting with him, I wish he would decide to do it *before* I get engrossed in a book.
Hi :hello: to shez, anniestar, racy red, Jackie O and all those missing in action.
I made a fabulous spicy plum sauce this weekend so will have to defrost some poultry to go with it for dinner. Also made two different kinds of soup. The veg soup will be lunch and the roasted veg soup will be part of dinner tonight.
Have a marvellous Monday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good Morning All
Thank heaven the snow has gone!
Got to drop my car off at the garage before work. The engine management light has come on! Hope its something simple to sort out!

Pie, mash & veg for dinner.

Morning all - well another exciting day of washing, cleaning and socks ahead. we are going for a mega freezer challenge month as the tuna I bought yesterday had to be folded up and squished into available gaps
need to phone the passport agency today - I sent off for two dd's passports and one has come back already plus a letter sayng they couldn't process the payment. I can do it on the phone but it will be £124 plus £5 admin - well I thought that the £124 was for admin so may have a bit of a moan. The one that came back does look funky though - it has one of those chip things in it.
little dd is still not well enough to go to school although you'd never notice it. Her tonsils are really swollen and it's always a risk with her that she will get a dreaded ear infection when she's laid low. In the mean time she is really cross that they changed the name of the phillip pullman film to The Golden Compass when any fool knows .......... honestly she rants on about this about 12 times a day and it all goes whoosh over my head.
well ho hum - can't procrastinate here any longer - have a good day allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all:hello:
We had snow yesterday and although it rained during the night, there's still a fair bit on the ground. DD's thought it was great to run about outside for 10 minutes before bed last night. Oh to be young again.
The kitchen cupboards need a good clean out today, thanks mainly to our unwanted visitors - mice:eek: . We had them about 2 years ago and I managed to get rid of them, so I was very unhappy when I saw one run past me in the kitchen the other day:(
There's a stew in the SC for dinner tonight, and I'm just about to put the BM on. I've also got a load for the WM and tons of ironing to get through today.
Have a nice day all. and hugs to those who need them.

ANNIEBOOKLOVER - my DS2 was the expert at interrupting when he was little. As soon as I started doing anything that didn't involve him, like knitting, reading or making a phone call, he would start fiddling around with something so that I would stop what I was doing. He had more attention than anyone else in the family and it still wasn't enough. My DH is like it, now, but I honestly don't think he realises it. I find it stops me being able to plan anything if he's at home, and the nature of his work means that he gets unexpected 'down' days, so my plans go out of the window! I just wish he liked golf or fishing! At the moment, he's been working in REDRUBY'S neck of the woods; it's outside work but he only has half a day left on the job so he's gone even though it's pouring with rain, just to get the job finished. Of course, he's only just decided to go so it was a race getting his packed lunch organised and now I'm walking round in circles deciding what to do next!
Congratulations, CATOWEN, on being so far ahead with Christmas. I thought I was doing well. I've started wrapping up and my Christmas cards have been sat next to my desk for a fortnight waiting to be started and I've got some food supplies in. I would love to say I'm all done! You've encouraged me to make an extra effort now!
Well, it's still pouring with rain; it did stop for about ten minutes (luckily, while all the children were going to school - I always think of them when it's raining - I remember how I hated thinking of my two getting soaked on the way to school).
Anyway, must go and do something then visit the gym. See you all later.
