Just to update you all - I got a really quick appointment this morning. The doctor was SO nice, she was really annoyed that the school was asking for a doctor's note as theoretically I've got a couple more days because they *officially* get me signed off. However, she could tell how distressed I was. So, no talking for me for the next 4 days - I can go back into work on Friday and as she put it, have another 2 days of rest over the weekend!!!!

ANNIEBOOKLOVER - . My DH is like it, now, but I honestly don't think he realises it. I find it stops me being able to plan anything if he's at home, and the nature of his work means that he gets unexpected 'down' days, so my plans go out of the window! I just wish he liked golf or fishing! At the moment, he's been working in REDRUBY'S neck of the woods; it's outside work but he only has half a day left on the job so he's gone even though it's pouring with rain, just to get the job finished. Of course, he's only just decided to go so it was a race getting his packed lunch organised and now I'm walking round in circles deciding what to do next!

Kathy, you will be glad to know that I am looking out of the windows at a bright blue sky, and a lovely bright sun, unless your hubby brings the rain with him, he should be fine xx :T

    Morning everyone,
This last week has been a bit up and down.
I finished painting my xmas mugs (for pressies) and got them in the oven on tuesday(to fix the colours),it was the only day DD wasn't home early to catch me at it LOL
Wednesday, the cat had a mad moment and bit me deeply on my hand right through into the flesh between my thumb and first finger. Luckily we have a first aid kit but it was so sore and thursday it was quite swollen. It looked like those pictures of balloony snake bites. It is almost back to normal now with only the 'tooth holes' to show anything happened but it was very debilitating.
He knew he had done something silly and spent the rest of the week looking very cowed.(we are great friends usually).:o
DD went to a fancy dress day at school on Friday,it is 6th formers and teachers only.
She did a beautiful job of transforming some charity shop stuff into the cheerleader from 'heroes'. She went to school on the bus wearing it ,all covered in fake blood, with a bottle of it in her pocket to daub on her face when she got there. Good thing she has a very long winter coat:p .
Today I am waiting in for a package from Amazon,so will potter about .Since the post office changed the postmens times,it has become much less likely it will even get here this morning.
    Take care

VICKYA - glad you've been signed off; there's nothing worse than worrying if people think you're swinging the lead when you know you're ill. Make the most of the rest.

REDRUBY - thanks for the rain check! It's actually stopped raining here and the sun is making a very weak effort. I do hope my DH doesn't bring any rain with him, although, I'm sorry to say, MetCheck today says it's going to rain - here and in Littlehampton - for the whole afternoon and evening! They say it will start to brighten up from Wednesday onwards.

CULPEPPER - that bite sounds nasty. I'm sure he didn't mean it - cats are usually so gentle, aren't they? I would keep an eye on it, though, in case it gets infected although it sounds as if you have avoided that.

Well, I've been grumbling about not having much spare time lately and I've been on here, I think, four times now and it's only just gone 10 o'clock. I was going to get ready for the gym but I've just noticed the meter reader stalking down the road so I'll wait until he's read mine before I go. I hate getting estimated readings. I pay by direct debit and, at the moment, both the gas and electricity owe me money - for a change! Mind, I pay enough - over £50 a month for each one. In fact, I think I'll see if I can get that reviewed.

(((hugs))) to Master PINK, MRS MIX and anyone else who is poorly.

    See you all later.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

Just back from walking the puppy, she is now drying off! she manages to find every puddle! Puppy training class tonight and I think we are learning how to retrieve! I know she can do that as she retrieves all sorts of rubbish over the local park  but it is the giving it back bit she doesn't get!

Catowen-Well done on completing your Christmas shopping and doing all the cards :T now you can rest and watch the rest of us panic!

Today is kitchen day and I have to sort out the freezers before we go to Costco on Friday for the big shop. Problem is the freezers seem to be full of runner beans and tomatoes! So I must come up with a plan to use some of them up.

Other plan is to sort out our cd's as we are putting in a new storage unit at the weekend. Maybe I can sell some on Amazon?

Our new washing machine has gone kaput after only 9 days! so will be on to Currys in a mo as well.

    Have a lovely day!

    Catz x

    Morning everybody,

Sitting here in the almost dark as it is raining hard outside, was completely dark at 4.30 yesterday..I HATE THIS KIND OF WEATHER!

Sorry for shouting folks, have to go shopping this morning, guesstimate keeps it at around 70 euro and that includes one of Lidl's frozen turkeys...may have to leave that as I don't think it will fit in either freezer.

Doing all right on Christmas shopping, decided that easiest thing for my brother is a charity donation to his favourite charity...he never seems to want or need anything! No wrapping done and no cards written, this week hopefully.

Pasta carbonara for dinner, and getting rid of chicken, chops, mince and fish from freezer for rest of week...that should leave room for turkey!

Hugs to all in need or want, especially those we haven't heard from in a while...unfortunately too many to mention...where are you all, surely not too busy to talk to your friends???

    Love

    Marie
