£23.23 sent to the CC to tidy the balance as it was irritating me
signature updated. Car service done and paid for as is the external paintwork (which looks fabulous, so pleased we got it done).
DS1 enjoyed our walk to school and chatting to his teacher for a few moments, his rock was the first on the trail - he was very excited about this, bless him.
Grocery order all sorted and redistributed to our Mums.
Have felt chilly all day, currently sat wrapped in a blanket! DS1 took an age to settle for bed this evening and I'm feeling tired so hanging out here for a while before having an early night, the coursework can wait another day...

Glad you got to see your Mum for a proper chat - but she was still sensible. We need to arrange to see MIL. We saw my parents last night though which was good. We had a fire pit between us LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Pleased you got to see your parents @savingholmes it's good for the soul isn't it?
Intermittent showers here today, managed to get the little ones out in the garden for an hour at lunchtime, including a picnic lunch (again 😉) but other than we've been inside.
They're both a bit tired and grumpy for some reason so it's been hard work keeping them entertained, they're currently enjoying watching Shaun the Sheep so I'm having a catch up on here.
DH out for work again today, sent him with a packed lunch and a bottle of squash so he doesn't spend in the canteen and ensures we hit NSD 6/30 of the month.
Right I'm off to do a few chores while the little ones are relatively calm...
Take care all x3 -
Yes it was good to see people. It's been a weird few months. Need to put a birthday card in the post to a relative later - and will need a Father's day card too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Quiet few days for us, sadly all with spends
DH wanted a few beers Friday night so called in L!dl for those.
Yesterday I popped to a nearby town to get some shopping for our Mums at M&S as well as picking up a few supplies at Boots & Wilko's while I was there.
Friday night was fakeaway - a lovely tomato and chicken curry.
Yesterday DS1 & I made some homemade pizzas for us & today we've had a toasted chicken so a few delicious meals over the weekend.
2 eBay items sold today, have posted them already so, after postage & fees there's just over £10 profit.
Had a drive out to the Lakes again today, much quieter than last weekend & the boys fell asleep so we drove on a bit further and ended up at Wasdale. Beautiful area and a long time since we've been there. Only a handful of people around so we took our time and the boys enjoyed throwing stones into the water, small pleasures 😊3 -
Our playground today, so thankful to have all this relatively nearby 💕8 -
Stunning! We may go and collect DS's things from uni next weekend - and possibly detour a little to somewhere beautiful along the way.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Definitely make time for a detour @savingholmes
Quiet day today, caught up on a bit of work related training. The boys were both awake just after 5 today and no amount of ignoring them or trying to persuade them to go back to sleep would workHad a short walk out this afternoon but they were both tucked up in bed by 7, I think I'll be heading up soon too. DH is working until 11pm in our spare rom/office so at least he'll have some peace and quiet.
NSD today - 7/30
Stay safe xx

Great start to the day - when I logged on to our online banking this morning the £1000 cashback from our new mortgage product was showing in our account. Have swiftly sent that to Mum's account so now we owe her nothing!
Signature updated and we now 'only' have the CC balance of £4700 to pay off.
For now, while there's a little uncertainty around my job we're going to pay minimum payments to this debt on DD each month while saving £500 into our regular saver accounts, as well as building up our savings pots.
If I end up being made redundant we'll have enough cash in the regular savers to tide us over until I find a new job but, all being well, come April when the 0% on the card expires we'll be able to pay the balance off. Then we can start attacking the mortgage...
