Thank you Beanie & SH, appreciate the reassurance 😊
Started the payback, cashed out £5.52 from Pro!ific this morning so that's been sent to CC2 -
Realised this morning that I'd forgotten about the cashback feature on the Cha3e account, checked the pot and there was £12.43 there 😱
That's been sent across to the student loan as DH double checked that account the other day and the interest rate on there is 4.5% not 4% as we'd previously thought.
In other news it's DS1's birthday today 🥳
He really didn't ask for anything so we've had to wing his gifts a little but he's pleased with what he's got, taking him to the local trampoline park this afternoon with some of his friends so we're having a quiet morning before chaos ensues later!3 -
Mortgage offer received, signed and returned yesterday so waiting on the funds being released.
DS1 had a fantastic birthday but both he, DS2 started with yet another sickness bug in the early hours of yesterday so the washer and dryer were on non-stop yesterday doing multiple loads as the boys managed to be sick over themselves, me, both beds and then some of the blankets we keep downstairs
They both seem much better this morning but I'm not feeling too good, I think being on high alert all night and day yesterday plus lack of appetite as I felt like I could just smell sick all the time, has left me feeling wiped. I've taken a couple of days off sick as couldn't cope with work on top of everything else. Not entirely sure I qualify for any sick pay yet but I guess that's what our savings are for if needed. I've just managed to have a shower and put some fresh PJ's on while the kids watch a film so I'm feeling slightly more human.
Thankfully my Aunty's funeral isn't until next week so should be fit and well by then.2 -
£8.09 cashed out from Prolific, sent to the CC ✔️2

Sorry about the bugs. I don't know if you have a dishwasher / room for one but we found it helped us cut down on bugs when we did.
Nice to have unexpected cashback. Well done on tackling the CC.

Thanks both, Sashy hope you're feeling better. I'm finally feeling more human this evening and the boys are much better too, just need to build mine and DS2's appetite back up.
That's an interesting point on the dishwasher SH, we do have one but don't use it daily, may need to look at that. I've been religiously using antibac spray on all contact surfaces, toilets, etc & reminding the boys of good hygiene when using the toilet. I don't know why they're so susceptible to these bugs, drives me mad. Thankfully they're continuing to make good progress at school so the time off isn't impacting on their learning too much.
I checked my absence policy and I'm not entitled to any sick pay until I've been there 6 months, which typical of my luck, I don't hit that milestone until next week! Just my luck but can't be helped, I wasn't up to doing much today, the boys and I have had a very lazy sofa day watching films quietly while DH was out for work.
Will be back to work tomorrow, from home luckily, DH is out again so my Mum is going to look after the boys for me as their school is closed for strike today and tomorrow which I'd completely forgotten about until my friend reminded me earlier!2 -
£29.70 sent to the CC today thanks to payouts from TCB, Pro!ific & Cha$e.
The additional borrowing mortgage funds have also been released to us today so we've paid our savings back the money we've spent on the garden and kids bedroom renovation so far and then popped the remaining balance in a newly set up joint savings account so we don't fritter the money on non-house project items.
Our plasterer friend is making good progress, juggling this work with his 'normal' paid work, plus us being unavailable due to illness/work commitments - all the boarding prep is complete, he should get the full room skimmed next week then we can start sorting the other jobs in the room once the plaster has dried out.
Food shop for the week done today, didn't spend as much as usual as lots left from last week with us being poorly.
The kids have Squirrels and Beavers this evening then swimming lessons tomorrow but no other plans this weekend other than to relax a little and try to get on top of some chores as we have a laundry mountain at the moment.
DH and I also have a table booked at a local pizzeria that's been getting rave reviews tomorrow night so a lovely treat for us while my Mum looks after the boys.
Hope everyone has a great weekend x
