Damage to lease car - Advice needed please!

Hi there,
My car lease is ending in September and I intend to take out another lease.
There is some cosmetic damage to car, dent in rear bumper due to being rear-ended by another vehicle (they drove off!) and passenger wing mirror cover missing (either clipped by another vehicle or stolen).
What are the chances that the leasing company will enforce payment for this damage, especially considering I will be taking out another contract? I've heard conflicting things - I've heard they may be willing to waive such damage to secure the next deal?
Does anyone have any experience of this? I'd rather save the money on bodywork repairs if I can, especially considering the damage wasn't my fault!
Thanks in advance

They will almost certainly enforce payment for the damage.
Also with rear bumper damage, ensure there isnt internal damage to the inner bumper. The plastic outer bit is just a cosmetic shell. If they examine it and find damage behind the plastic outer they could bill you for £,£££s0 -
Ok thanks. Do you think it's worth negotiating the cost with LEX, perhaps suggesting the cost of the repairs be taken off the Initial Rental for the new car? I know sales guys have targets to meet and they will be wanting me to get a new car.
This is my first lease and so I'm just trying to figure out the most financially viable option.0 -
You can always try to negotiate something with them, they may be willing to bend a little bit to secure the new lease.0

I think you're right, I don't think they'd want to miss out on a 6k deal if I was to say that I couldn't afford costly repairs AND an initial rental on the car.
I'm going to be ballsy when the time comes.0 -
Slightly different but we used Lex for business leases. They take every penny they can for every chip and scuff so long as it abides by the BVRLA guidelines.
We always use Lex and have about 50 cars, almost constant renewal going on, but never any 'deals' for damage

Will most certainly cost you more than having it repaired yourself.
If you can't afford any repairs why are leasing? You should factor this in at the start.0 -
they will not do any deals for a personal lease, the margins are tight as they can be to be competitive and you are not exactly a volume customer.
You would have been given a copy of the BVRLA guidelines when taking out the lease so you did know what you signed up to.
Be realistic "a £6k deal" is small change to them.0 -

+1
Particularly given there will be waifer thin margins on a deal like this, they are not going to write off £££ - £,£££'s worth of damage that they can legally claw back0 -

Hate to burst your bubble but your repeat custom isn't really that important to them.
Why didn't you get the collision damage fixed through your insurance.0 -

Thanks for the arsey reply and jumping down my throat.
I didn't once mention not being able to afford the repairs, I just mentioned it was a stance I could take when negotiating with Lex. I am on here for some advice, not pleading poverty. Can you not read?
