Hate to burst your bubble but your repeat custom isn't really that important to them.

Why didn't you get the collision damage fixed through your insurance.

Because it would be cheaper to get it fixed myself than go through my insurance. Obviously I considered this at the time of the collision.
Please don't post on this threat again, I don't value your input and you sound like a moron looking for confrontation on the internet.:money:

Thanks for the arsey reply and jumping down my throat.

I didn't once mention not being able to afford the repairs, I just mentioned it was a stance I could take when negotiating with Lex. I am on here for some advice, not pleading poverty. Can you not read?

If you can't keep a civil tongue in your head, why are you posting on public forums?

Best advice would be to get it fixed yourself. Lex will charge for damage, especially the amount/type of damage you have. Our company had to pay out over £2k once on some fairly minor issues, I think the damage on yours might be more?

I've had quotes for £250 for the bumper and probably £50 for a new wing mirror cover in the right colour.
I thought there would only be a small chance of getting away with the damage charges; I didn't expect the keyboard warriors be out with such ferocity haha!

Good try, but I suggest you get it fixed yourself because if they try it on, it will cost you a lot more

I would definitely get the work done then. That doesnt sound like a big amount of money for not to the have the worry and potential stress.

You're right; removes the uncertainty as well. There's time yet to get the old girl spruced up ready to go back.

If you want to just get genteel responses I recommend not posting anything online at all. Ignore stuff you wish to ranting rarely improves things.

I would definitely get it repaired yourself, but make sure the quality is good as they will pick up mismatches and charge you dealer rates plus handling charges. That would be more than £250.

I agree with above statements, if you can get it repaired out your own pocket. Do it.

When i leased my car, which i ended up buying it. I had some scrapes on the car, I was strongly advised to get it repaired before handing it back. I was told payment for fixing the issues would have outweighed getting my own garage of choice to sort it out. I expected this would be the case anyway. I work alongside BCA i have witnessed just how strict they work against lease cars, and they dont miss anything that i've personally seen myself.
