Because it would be cheaper to get it fixed myself than go through my insurance. Obviously I considered this at the time of the collision.
Please don't post on this threat again, I don't value your input and you sound like a moron looking for confrontation on the internet.:money:

Tbf that basically describes the internet.

I think you're right, I don't think they'd want to miss out on a 6k deal if I was to say that I couldn't afford costly repairs AND an initial rental on the car.
I'm going to be ballsy when the time comes.

I can’t see you having any problems.

Missing out on a £6k deal could be the end of them.

Let us know how you get on Abi.

I would definitely get it repaired yourself, but make sure the quality is good as they will pick up mismatches and charge you dealer rates plus handling charges. That would be more than £250.

Good quality repairs essential, when my last company car was collected the driver was VERY thorough. He pointed out "orange peel" paint where a Lex approved garage had repaired the car, bird lime damage on the roof as well as a couple of small areas of damage I had never noticed.

  • I had an accident in my lease car in April. My insurance company have informed the lease company what they think the vehicle is worth which i agree with but the lease company are saying they want in excess of £1000 more. The insurance company have paid out what they think the vehicle is worth as they request on numerous occasions evidence of purchase price etc but to date the lease company have not provided. So there is a dispute now between the insurance company and the lease company. The insurance company have stated that if they provide evidence the vice is worth more then further negotiations can take place. I am still paying for a vehicle i no longer have. My question is what are my rights now for ending the contract or do i keep paying the monthly rentals. This could be an ongoing dispute which at the end of the day the lease company have technically been paid out. Thanks in advance
