How to deal with buyers remorse after buying glasses

I regret getting £200 glasses from vision express after finding out that I found have gotten similar glasses for £70 online.
I am experiencing severe buyers remorse because of this and I was wondering if you could give me advice on how to deal with this.
The unfortunate fact is that I would have to look online to realise that glasses are cheaper online.
Next time I plan to purchase something I will always check online to see if I can get a cheaper deal there, whether it may be looking on my supermarket or MSE.
I looked in two shops for those glasses and I thought I had a good idea of what the competition was like. I was wrong about that.

Whoops I just double posted after using the back button. Please could someone remove the other post.0

I also bought another set worth £25 because I thought it was a reasonable price to settle with.
I think we all have to make the judgment that we have enough information before we buy something. I had thought that I had enough information far too soon.0 -
Chalk it up to experience and move on would be my advice. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

I just wish MSE could post leaflets in the community to persuade people to visit the site so that they can realise how much money they can save.0

I don't wear glasses but I imagine it's the same as buying anything else, you can (almost always) get it cheaper online.
But that doesn't always mean you should.
You don't get personalised help.
You don't get to try things out beforehand.
If something goes wrong it is trickier to sort out.0 -

I don't think that the personalised help or the fact that I could have gotten to try them on beforehand was worth paying triple price.
One of the problems with modern consumerism is that there is so much to choose from and little guidance on what the best deal is among the vast array of options. While price comparison sites addresses this to some extent, they do not have a full catalogue of all the products stocked at every store from personal experience.
I would say that the clear exceptions to the idea of products being cheaper online is with grocery shopping because of Lidl and Aldi.0 -
Always price mine up on glasses direct. Then always buy from glasses direct.0

I wish there was a tool to compare glasses with customised lenses.0

Is glasses direct the cheapest online store?
I have struggled with blurred vision and it turns out that my glasses have the wrong prescription and the wrong optical center after a recent eye test and discussion. Vision express are offering to replace the lenses for free.
I wonder if the online stores offer to replace the lenses for free if I have the wrong prescription because of my eye test.0 -
The thing is, I knew about online stores but I didn't know that they were much cheaper than high street stores for glasses.0
