Sounds like you had a lovely hospital buddy.
Well done on the walking. I can barely manage 2 mins.
She was lovely. I gave her some reassurance about her healing one day (she had an op and I had something similar a few years ago) and the next day she thanked me for my kind words as she had been feeling a bit low. She said it really helped, she had needed to hear something positive. I was just being myself, I had no idea it had helped.
I've done much more walking than I planned or thought I was able to. I'm lucky I'm able to do that.

LMG's digs in now so coffee money today paid to cc account and money owed to bestie sent to her (£10 chip in for a birthday gift).

Yesterday was a SSD (bus fares to and from work).
Today I picked up Euro's for LMG (her birthday present from me as she and her boyfriend are off on holiday for a week next week), paid for from birthdays account, and treated myself to a Greggs hot chocolate from slush fund. I was cold and just really fancied one. £1.90 though. Definitely a treat not to be repeated too often. I have milk and chocolate in the house.
Getting treated (hmmm...seems to be a theme going on here) to my tea tonight by boyfriend as I'm helping him build a wardrobe. I'll take cash so as not to be presumptuous but he's already said he'll buy it.
Not used any freezer soup yet but it's on the menu for lunch next week. Boyfriend bought me a thermos mug a few months back so I think I'll take the soup with me.
I'm so glad I went back to work mid week. I'm done already this week with one more day still to go.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thank you. I do feel lucky to be here, although it's hard going when yet another part of my body fails me.
NSD yesterday.
I put £20 petrol in the car today, £10 from slush fund because Mum paid for the coffees today (I drove us), and £10 from the yearly payments account where I put petrol money into each month but I've got road tax due at the end of this month and don't want to leave the account short (it's not near short but I feel panicky when I use it).
Cash grocery budget still at £156 (£1 more than I originally said), Asda card still at £2.97. Still got enough in slush fund for about £20 per week until payday. Got food in the house for the weekend. No meal plan but I can muddle along until next week. LMG is in for tea tonight and we're at my folks' tomorrow. Got bread in the freezer for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Will probably shop on Monday.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thank you. You're pretty awesome yourself
Ruined the planned NSD yesterday as I forgot I had said I would do the garlic bread for tea yesterday so popped to the shop for bread and mozzarella. Small spend and I paid it from slush fund as I had £5 in my purse.
Wasn't organised enough to get today's shopping at the same time so a spend day today also. £26 from grocery budget.
Had a freezer soup for lunch today. The other half is in the fridge for tomorrow.
Mac 'n' cheese for tea tonight. Going to make that up shortly.
£10 spent from slush fund on a gift for someone.
All DD's for the month are off the account now. I've not updated the spreadsheet but I'll do it when I can be bothered (probably when I'm prepping it for next month in the last week of this month).Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I dont count food & fuel as spend days as long as I dont go over budget.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I never thought of that. I don't count dd's from my account or if I top up my bus card I don't count that either but everything else I do. The only other main thing I spend on is food and I (half-heartedly) try to do the meal plan/shopping list so that I don't go into the shop every day as that's when I spend unnecessarily.
NSD today.
Took my lunch soup in my flask and ate it at work. I got held up again so at least I had had lunch by the time I got home. Accidentally ate [STRIKE]just over half a box[/STRIKE] three quarters of a box of mint matchmakers. I'll suffer for that later but I enjoyed them.
Early night planned tonight. I was late last night and I'm tired today so it is a necessity.
LMG is in for tea tonight and I can give her a choice of about three different meals so I'll let her pick.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Another NSD today. I don't have plans to leave the house again before tomorrow so I think it's safe to say that.
Not sure what's for tea yet. I think LMG will be in for tea so we'll work something out.
Got my annual CMS review decision through. The monthly payment is going up! New payment amount is to be £9.78 per month. That's 6p-7p per month more. I'm not really sure what to do with that. Will I buy her a new coat? Maybe a new pair of trainers? Or maybe it will be used to top up the grocery budget like the payments usually are, if I get them that is. I'm so glad I and the other mother who gets payments in our case are looking after our children and not him. Goodness only knows how 3 kids would survive on £30 per month.
Bright note to end on: the sun is shining here!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
