Yah for chocolate:)
My brain and my tastebuds love chocolate but my body doesn't and I suffer if I eat more than a couple of mouthfuls. One positive thing is I bought two bars last week (that I posted about) and although I ate too much of the first one and suffered, I was careful with the rest of it and with the second and I just finished the second todayI kept forgetting it was there and each time I went looking for something I found it (great excitement) and had just one row. Amazing self-control
Financially, I have managed to stay out of the shops, for the most part, except today as I needed face cream, bread and some gin tins (rhubarb & ginger beanielou) as boyfriend and I are going on a wee trip on Friday. LMG bought me an overnight stay in a different city for my birthday so we are heading off Friday morning, back Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. We like the wee tins of gin as we can have them in the room if we want a wee tipple.
Payday on Friday. I have worked out that I have overspent this month by £80 which is not anywhere near as bad as I thought. Obviously not good but I thought it was worse.
Back on it as of Monday. I need to meal plan as that has been the biggest problem (the fact that I haven't). I've had the last tax credit payment and I think I'm due one more child benefit payment. Maintenance (for what it is) is due to stop too. Still due about £400 in arrears and I won't be waiving that. It's not for me it's for LMG.
Still chasing the PPI complaint. I know the deadline is tomorrow. I have sent them the information they requested, twice by Royal Mail and have heard nothing. I went on to Resolver (where I first raised it) and did a chaser email so that should be enough to have raised it before the deadline.
Someone tried to change their gas supplier and must have accidentally selected my address as my gas account disappeared off my app. I called my supplier (after panicking, googling and finding information right here on this site!) and it's something called 'erroneous transfer'. They have taken the steps to request the account back. It was a pain in the rear as I had to make various calls and was on hold for hours but the only thing I am grateful for is that this happened to me and not my elderly neighbour as he would have had no clue what to do, I don't think he would have understood and it would have been really stressful for him. For me it's just an inconvenience.
Right, other diaries for half an hour, then tea, then a bit of studying.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I had that last year. LMG is in higher education this year so we don't qualify anymore
I got my wage slip today, ready for tomorrow. The bonus is what I expected (note to Mr Tax Man - ouch, that hurts). We were supposed to be getting a back dated payment too and I thought that would be in this month's wage but we are apparently getting it next month instead.
I have cleared all my accounts (I had £15 more than I thought, must have miscalculated somewhere but it evens itself out as I am paying across a lump sum to the credit card account tomorrow). I have updated my spreadsheet ready so that I can adjust it first thing tomorrow before our trip. I wouldn't be able to relax knowing that I hadn't done it. I don't mind waiting until I get home from work but I can't wait longer than that. Still obsessed with my spreadsheet 11 or so years down the line
Other diaries now for half an hour or so then there's a new film on Netflix that I fancy so I'll watch that while having my tea.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I need to do a meal plan today. LMG is at home so I'm going to do that this afternoon, make a list and drag her to the shop with me. I'm going to look at the grocery Challenge board because the recipes there always give me some inspiration.
I've got £144 in grocery cash and £49 on the Asda card. Need to make a massive grocery effort this month :cool:Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

You can do it
I've updated my signature to include a £50 overpayment and September's dd to the loan. Also, mortgage is down by another £10. I don't have any funds in the holding account this month so probably no overpayment to the loan this month. According to my calculations I am on track for making the last loan payment on 01/09/2023 if I make no further overpayments
I've done the meal plan (loosely, as in I have a list of meals) and I have written out the majority of the shopping list. I don't have the energy to leave the house this afternoon so the shopping will need to wait until tomorrow but I have a pack of stuffed pasta and a sauce that I bought at the end of last month so we'll have that for tea tonight.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Regarding the loan, I am in competition with boyfriend as he took out a similar sized loan 6 months before me over the same term. My goal at the moment is to get my DFD to June 2023 as I know he took the loan in July 2018 but I'm not sure when his first repayment was (possibly August) so I'm not exactly sure what the date is that his last repayment is expected, but I want to finish mine before he finishes his.
I should probably mention that he doesn't know he is in the competition :whistle:Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I love the competition
Actually, I really love competing against people who have no idea they're competing against me - I find myself in a race most days
Competitive bag packing at the self-service checkouts is my favourite
(which reminds me, I really need to meal-plan properly for this week!)
