I saw 1am then I put my Rain app on and drifted off. Got up twice between then and 6 :rotfl: Woke up this morning feeling like I was hungover :( Lesson relearned.

Payday so all the pots have been topped up. No extra cash to play with as LMG is waiting for her first pay from new job (went from weekly to monthly) and I said she could pay her digs at the end of the month so I've had nothing for three weeks. On Friday (hopefully) I'll get three weeks worth of digs, her phone bill money and insurance (she needs it, she's so careless), in the meantime I've just managed to cover it.

Had the mini muffins for lunch with the coleslaw. The muffins I could take or leave, they were ok, but the coleslaw was delicious! I was so happy with it. It could have served 2 as small portions really.

I didn't make potato salad as I did some studying this afternoon. The chives are in the fridge and will last so I'll probably make it on Friday.

I'm about to crack open the ginger cake :D

Quite honestly savingholmes, the cake wasn't as nice as I expected it to be. It had bits in it (checked ingredients, think it must have been oatmeal) and tasted more like Christmas cake. I quite like Christmas cake but I was expecting it to taste like Jamaica Ginger Cake which I LOVE! What I'll do is I'll pick up a loaf of the Jamaica stuff at some point and we can share it :)

The pain is starting to ease. It's still there but it's not as bad. I'm trying to be gentle with myself.

Paid across £13.79 to the mortgage account today to round up the interest and reduce the balance by £10. Paid the remaining £6.21 (from £20 which is what I allow from my budget) to the Challenge account.

    Mortgage balance now £87,600.

Went to Morries for cheese (just can't be without it any longer) and spent £15 (not just on cheese) but I've not even got a whole meal in that; orange juice, tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, coffee (ooh, actually, I could make a breakfast out of that lot haha), etc, etc. Just going to transfer the cash to the cc account now.

10 more minutes on here then I'm off to study for an hour or so again.

Ginger cake it is then. It supposed to have anti-inflammatory benefits - so counts as medicine I'm sure!

Not much to report today. I'm glad it's the weekend to get a break from work. It's been an intense week and I've studied a lot too. No big plans for the next two days, just a nice day tomorrow with LMG, my sis and Peachy. I've got laundry to do which I think I'll start shortly and I might do a wee bit of study on Sunday unless I get a better offer (probably won't :()

Have a lovely weekend all xx

Thank you. You too :) xx

I had a bit of a spend yesterday (grocery-wise) but when I added it up afterwards it was far less than I thought. I have a couple of things to get (shampoo, etc) and then it will just be food for the rest of the month which is lucky because there's only £100 left in the grocery budget for the month now  I can call on an extra £20 if necessary but if I can do it for £100 I'll be delighted.

I had £200 sitting in an account that was there for a purpose. The purpose is no longer present so I decided to take the funds and pay them towards the loan. If the purpose represents itself then I'll just have to think again but chances are slim so I think it's pretty safe. I'm going to call the loan company this week to see where I'm at exactly. I might change my signature to reflect the amount left to pay including interest so that I have a worst case scenario figure.

I have now overpaid £300 to the loan since I started this diary (end of May). That means I have knocked two months off my DFD so far. I'm fairly sure this would not have happened had I not been keeping this diary. Anyone who is following along - thank you. I know I ramble terribly.
