Do try to get this ticket cancelled by your employer.

When you receive a LBC (Letter Before Claim) you will need to take some action and send back a letter rebutting the claim.

Also take some photographs of the signage as the PPC could update the signage. The signage will play a crucial part in winning your case should it proceed to court.

P.S. My name is based on a saying that describes what I think of the parking companies and their owners. I actually am terrified of snakes.

I will go to my boss armed with that page about NHS parking. It's not an enclosed hospital grounds as it's a community building but the space I parked in obviously looks like it belongs to the building... you have to drive into it and it's bang in front of the entrance, the signage was clear about it being staff and patient parking and not clear about having to display a card in your car to avoid fines. Fingers crossed!

When you do, point out that whoever contracted the parking scammers is jointly liable for the actions of the scammers.
Tell your boss he/she will need to attend court as a witness if the scammers take this further. He/she needs to ensure they will be available on the court date.

I wasn't in the country anyway until after the appeal stage.
You had ten days after receiving the NTK when you could have appealed before you went abroad.

My boss was sympathetic as other people have come a cropper too and they have appealed, but usually pay a reduced fine. But all they suggested was to appeal and did not take any responsibility as the land does not belong to the NHS and the landowner has chosen to use this car parking company with their misleading signage to catch unwitting staff and patients out. I feel very angry and I want to appeal and complain but it has gone too far now. The latest debt collector letter today threatens potential consequences (of not contacting them by letter or telephon) could include 1. the possible recording of the full oustanding balance as an adverse entryon your Credit File by our client and 2. the instruction of our local representative to arrange to call at your home address. It offers to agree a repayment plan. It is confusing too as it says Re: THREE which doesn't make sense to me. And it says Balance: £34.88. The last letter said the fine is not £160. So why is the balance £34.88? These discrepencies make me inclined NOT to contact them. But I don't need a bad credit rating as a result. I am not so bothered about someone calling as they have no right in my property. Friends have warned me I may end up on court as someone's husband did, but I will get back to you and reread the FAQs if it comes to that. I feel so angry that I should be hassled by them and given another thing to worry about. It's so unjust! I will write to my MP now. Any advice on that?

Maybe it's a letter about a different debt allegedly owed to THREE?
it says Re: THREE which doesn't make sense to me. And it says Balance: £34.88.

But I don't need a bad credit rating as a result.
Doesn't happen as a result of a private parking charge, unless you ignore court papers or move house and let them issue a secret claim & get a default CCJ, due to you not telling them your new address. You CANNOT get a CCJ if you do not ignore court papers and defend it if it happens, and pay of a Judge told you to. Even losing in court and then paying, does not affect your credit rating.

You CAN get a CCJ re money owed to a Phone company as you signed a CCA agreement.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your comments. I am trying to manage stress levels anyway. That was why I got the ticket. Now I have a letter of Final Demand dated 4th June for the £160 again (perhaps the last letter was a mistake?) . This one threatens they are going to commence CC proceedings and I have 7 days to avoid it (11th June) and they will also seek recovery of any associated Court Fees, Solicitors Costs and Statutory Interest. It goes on to warn that a CCJ against me may have a a detrimental efect on my future creditworthiness and employability. There is a debt management number to discuss ways to pay if in difficulty, which I am. I am as you can imagine tempted to go for that. I wish in hindsight I had just paid the £60, just or unjust. I didn't have time to appeal as much due to my personal circumstances as there only being a few days before I left the country. I know from their point of view I had 10 days, but in reality I had no time at all. Just paying up may have saved me all this but I do feel there should be some way to tell them where to shove it. I am caring for three people, doing a part time job, trying to find more work to pay debts and also look after myself and have a life! I haven't even got round to contacting my MP. I find it difficult to navigate these sites, like going back to #4 newbies to read about debt collectors. It's going to Court now anyway, unless I start paying up this week.

    Just stop panicking.

You are asking for advice yet we know neither the name of the parking firm nor who has sent you the latest letter to which you refer.

We can give you far more targeted advice once you give us those two organisations' names.

PS - has the paragraph button broken on your keypad, your posts in large text slabs are very difficult to read.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Sorry about the text slabs

I wanted to post pictures I took of the letters and original tickets etc but they need a URL it says. Not sure how to post them.

The original MYParkingCharge.co.uk was stuck on my car windscreen on 20/03/2019.

The company is called VCS Vehicle Control Services and says it is IPC (International Parking Community) accredited operator membership number VEH0011

It is also registered with the ICO (Information Commisioners Office) as a data controller registered Z9662939

They also give a list of independent debt advice companies and contact numbers

I have received four letters by post from them,
PCN notice to keeper dated 03/04/2019
PCN final reminder -do not ignore dated 02/05/2019
    Demand for payment dated 20/05/2019
    Final demand dated 04/06/2019

and three letters from Moorcroft Debt Recovery Limited dated 11/05/2019, 24/05/2019 and 03/06/2019.

Thanks for any advice, if this information gives you any more of an idea of what I can do other than pay up.
