It's actually pretty easy to spot when someone is driving like a !!!!!! (a slow one or a fast one) on a motorway, it's a lot harder to describe. I find the best approach is to be as considerate as I can, i.e. make it as easy as possible for other drivers to do whatever they want and keep out of their way.

That's the same whatever roads you're on these days. You're driving to mitigate other people's poor driving at all times.
I think it's what's spoiled motoring in this country. Used to be that most people at least seemed to pay attention. These days people treat their car like a mobile version of their living room. What's going on outside is less interesting than what's going on inside.

Anyone else get "spider senses" that someone's going to do something daft...and yep, there they go.

A classic one near us is a 3 lane entry to roundabout, with lights, where the first two lanes only go onto the ringroad. If you want town centre or ringroad right, you have to use the right hand lane, which is clearly marked.
However, this lane queues more at the lights than the middle lane, so you guessed it, the impatient ones pull up in the middle, then proceed to cut up those in lane 3.
I'm getting pretty good at spotting them, but I usually let them across, as to hold my ground would just cause an accident. Wish I had a pound for each one I see!!
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

^ Yes, as an ex biker myself you don't last long if you don't develop that sixth sense.
You might have "the right of way" but it's no good if you keep[ running into things.

I'm assuming that sixth sense also allows bikers to accurately read speed limit signs? Because the guy who spread himself all over our road ealier this year clearly thought a number 30 in a red circle actually means do 60 and overtake on a blind bend.

    +1

I try to be very considerate to others on the road, as i would like them to be considerate to me and others. Sadly, not often the case these days..... most people are far too self centred and believe the world revolves around them to consider others.
