    Elbow grease!

I had a red corderoy type one. Used to use baby soap and a face cloth.

Get a basin of water, dip the baby soap in, rub it on the dirty patches. Then get a damp face cloth and rub at it for as long as it takes!

Then I'd use the steam cleaner to soften up the material. But you have to wash it first, steam cleaners don#t seem to clean very well...

    Or hire a vax!
  • thank you-don't mind the elbow grease if i know that I am not going to riun the thing!!

May give that a go later.

Find tidying the living room not to bad but difficult to work around the children and tend to leave most of it until they have gone to bed. MUST try and do some of it the night before. If I tidy up behind the settee the night before that would be a great help !!

    Morning all

Just spent half hour reading through this lot! So its your fault my ironing is not done:p .

Dosed myself up with cold relief caps and they appear to have done the job. Still a bit sniffy but not dying like i usually do. I have whizzed through the house doing a S & S everywhere, have hoovered through, mopped kitchen, bathroom and porch floor.

Next task is to do half hour ironing (which should clear it) and time left on my timer and i will tackle the underwear pile. Its doing my nut in to have to rummage throught it every morning.

Cuppa and a bit of cake, will put ironing board up whilst kettle boiling.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
