What evidence do you base that assumption on?

    What assumption?

Yes, I've seen one of those - Bishop Burton near Hull. They should get out an do some real policing, and stop belly-aching about how they need extra funds.

The fact you think the police are sat in the vans running the cameras shows just how little you know and how much your advice and opinions can be ignored.

Why the layby was actually coned off.

What real policing do you think the civilian member of staff should be doing?

Ah, see what you mean. Clearly I don't know about that, but I was making the general point that lay-bys are there to allow motorists to stop for a short while, and not there to be taken over by revenue camera vans. It's a fair bet that if a van was in there, and it was coned off, the two facts are related.

In my area I've seen a uniformed police officer in the van.

    Comically ignorant.

I see what you've done there. The plural of anecdote is not data.

Yes, I quite agree. They are.

As in the van is parked in a coned off layby. You're still making assumptions.
