It's Bank Holiday Monday, and the sun is shining.
I've just made a boatload of breadcrumbs for my Seventeenth Century Gingerbread session this afternoon. I just hope I've made enough - we're changing the format, so instead of me doing a demonstration, the whole thing is more interactive and people can come and make their own. Trouble is, we don't know how many people will want to make their own, so we don't know how much of anything to provide. Wish me luck.
Yesterday should have been Rubber Chicken Day One, but what with having a longer-than-expected stint at the House in the afternoon, then meeting up with a friend (free coffee!!), it was gone 5 when I got in. I just wanted to eat, rather than wait 2 hours for the chicken to cook, so I ended up having scrambled eggs on toast.
I'll cook the chicken tonight - Gingerbread finishes at 2:30 and even if I get sucked (suckered??) into helping out in the House afterwards, I'll be finished by 4:30 come what may.
I think I mentioned a while back that I write a blog. This is what I wrote about Rubber Chicken -

And in between times I need to do a bit of thinking/prep for the interview tomorrow. I definitely believe in sweating the petty things! I need to decide what to wear (smart casual with no open-toed shoes), put the finishing touches to my presentation, and think through my answers to the stock questions ('Why do you want to work for us?' and 'What can you bring to the role?').
But for a minute or two I'm going to just sit here in the sun and enjoy it.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
