Try investing in some Magic Liner from Lakeland. I have several pieces cut to size for my most used tins and trays. It is washable and lasts for years. Flapjack just slides off it.

thanks PP, i'm definitely going to get hold of this one way or another - i find greaseproof works, but i hate the job of fitting it to the tin as it rolls up and won't sit still.... only trouble is Lakeland charge a standard GBP 10 for sending anything across the water! i may have to up my order a little to make it worthwile. what were those other favourites?"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
You can use clingflim in the oven up to 200C. It must be the sort that will go into a microwave and you have to accept the film will bake but not melt. Test your film by wrapping a potato in film and try baking it.
There is a video of Paul Hollywood blind baking a flan lined with clingfilm on the BBC recipe website. (Sorry MSE won't let me put URL).

Hi
Not sure where you are coming from, negative or positive. I did a web search to find the answer and this site had a relevant thread which I updated.
If you aren't a smart gîte, sorry and hello, if you are a smart gîte, err, duck orf.0 -

An OP who hasn't logged on to MSE since 11/10/2011 at that!
If anybody had wanted an answer to the question, they'd have asked - either on the end of this thread or a new thread (which you'd have found with your 'web search').
On most public fora, necro-posting is considered bad etiquette.
So it's a 'hello' from me. :hello:0
