the whole morning was spent at the garage as I had a slow puncture (or so I thought). Turns out it was the wheel. They offered me a walk in at 8:30...I left at 12:30. Anyway it's been fixed FOC so that's something.
Came home and pegged out washing and had lunch.

Well I was up with the lark (ish) SM shop done and put away, kitchen cleaned, WM x 1 done. Been to Ikea  evil place but at least it’s done! Feel like most of the day has gone but am now going to tackle the bits of the house that I didn’t get to this week. Mainly hall stairs and landing, dining room, bed to be changed and some tidying away of gibble to be done.
Cup of tea first and then on to it!!0 -
Oh and I just discovered how to put smilies in.... bit slow on the uptake here but getting there:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T0

Welcome to this crazy world, Valli's great-nephew.
Great bargains, nicki :money: :T:T
DH went to the big city early this morning to attend a public transport forum. I left the house tidy when I went out, and it was still perfectly tidy when I got back 5 hours later
Rosie coped wonderfully with being left for all that time, though she was very pleased to see me when I got home.
Church fete done and dusted
Not a lot of people came, and I brought home a whole Victoria sponge and half a tin of brownies that I had baked, as well as 7 out of my 15 jars of marmalade. The cakes are now in the freezer and all will go on sale when we hold our CAid fundraising event in June - that will save me having to spend hours in the kitchen beforehand
I also have some unsold toys which I will sort into CS box, eByGum pile and keep-for-Christmas-fair drawer.
I have acquired cheaply eight almost-new strong cardboard boxes with proper lids and metal reinforced corners, which will be ideal for family history photos etc.
Having just drunk a cup of tea, I feel able to take Rosie out for a walk now. The sun is shining and it is very pleasant outside. Then back to paperwork

I call at Dad's after work on a Friday and we watch the country music channel. First 15 minutes after I arrive is a Memory Lane show - and last night they were all hits from the late 50s. And I started singing along - and encouraged Dad to join me.... which he did :T Then he said 'I can sing again Don' with a smile - I realised then that he hasn't sung since Mum died. And breathe....
beautiful. xA bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Morning all. Rare day with DH today and we're visiting DD so apart from dailies I don't expect a lot else will be done. Got the ironing up to date yesterday.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
