Thanks guys! It will be a good challenge to get that usage down and hopefully new provider will be more reasonable!
Haha SC! I was talking to my mum about her morphy richards cordless vacuum the other day, might invest in one. Now, she loves to vacuum and does it everyday, she was pleased when me and the dogs moved out last year because my long hair and the dog hair was clogging up the bristles 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

I wouldn't reccomend any of the cheap handhelds for a house with dogs and long hair. I got a Murphy Richard's and it was a complete waste of time. Left more on the floor than it picked up!Mortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years

Hi guys,
Haven't updated in a week or so, so here we go!
Mortgage is currently £62,750 and EF is £2,150. I'd like the EF to be up to £3k by Christmas.
Last Friday we went straight to Suffolk after work to stay at BF's parents and so he could spend time with boyo. It was a lovely drive there in the new car until a deer ran straight into the side of us! Luckily it has only caused a small dent to the drivers side door that is barely noticeable and I'm hoping the deer just stunned itself and ran away!
A nice time was had after that and we came home Saturday evening with no further drama. BF's mum works at Morrison's and gave me a 15% off online voucher code after I complained about the past couple of deliveries from tesco, so I've ordered my shopping from Morrison's to come Monday.
Vix was right about work! I had a couple of alright weeks and then it all went to pot this week and Wednesday I just sat and cried at my desk while I was alone in the office! It seems I'm not the only one unhappy, as three other female colleagues had been in tears too! Luckily, I had booked yesterday and today off with BF for his birthday, so a few days to recharge is nice and I can focus on applying for some more jobs. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck on the new job front which is getting me down a bit but I'm sure something will come up 🙂 BF had a nice birthday, he got lots of money, chocolate, smellies and a cake baked by my mum. We had a lovely Chinese takeaway for tea too.
I received a pay out from my video game streaming of £56 which was a nice surprise and when we went into town yesterday I treated myself to a new top (£6) and bought some Christmas presents.
My plan is to get wrapping the Christmas presents I've now bought soon, so I know who I've got left to buy for. Trying to not spend much more than a tenner on people as I'm trying to stick to a budget and not go overboard.

I wish I wasn't right Jessy!
Hope the few days off help and you feel better by the time you head back into the office. I think it's very easy to get overwhelmed at the minute because everything is more stressful than it used to be.
Eek to the car! Silly deer! At least you didn't hit it head on and it probably was OK. Glad BF had a good birthday.
Christmas plans sound good!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh no to the deer and to work 😮! I'm glad you've had a nice couple of days off, take a deep breath over the weekend and hoist those big-girl pants up on Monday morning 😐 Fingers crossed you can find the perfect new job soon x

Thanks vix and SC 🙂
I wrapped up the presents I have bought this evening and still have 10 to buy, including BFs. Less if I buy presents for couples instead of individuals. Will have to have a think over the weekend!
BF is going into work tomorrow morning for some overtime money, so I'll have time to do my scheming then! 😀Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Thanks NG.
In all honesty, this week got worse. On Tuesday my engineer's van broke down, I had to call the customer who was very understanding but when I rang a colleague for help with which garage I needed to call and what I needed to do to get a courtesy van, she was extremely rude. She is well known for her bad moods but it got to me. When my engineer made it back to the office he threw an absolute tantrum because I hadn't been able to get a courtesy van yet and stormed out. I broke down, had a panic attack and told my boss I was quitting and going home. Another colleague managed to talk me down and I ended up staying. My engineer profusely apologised for his behaviour after a telling off from my boss and my boss bought me box of chocolates the next day to make me feel better. It has got to the point now where leaving is the best thing to do for my mental health. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with getting another job yet, but I'm trying and will keep trying.
In more positive news, the energy switch has gone through and the new DD is £75.50! The old energy company had the cheek to offer me £150 to stay with them, I told them to stuff it! I've been keeping a spreadsheet with meter readings on and our electric usage has decreased dramatically in the past month, thanks to the new boiler and turning things off at the socket! I also submitted my water meter reading and the DD for that is also being reduced to £38. Pretty chuffed really!
Pleased with the Morrison's shop that came during the week and trying to be good with meal planning. The shopping is down to around £180 a month now so my next target is £150.
Hope everyone have a lovely weekend and have a great week! 😀
