    Friday update:

    1. Letter from D2 acknowledging payment.

    2. Email from FOS confirming they are now investigating my complaint.

    3. No response yet from the ICO.

    4. Sending form to former DMC tomorrow and letter to D3.

    5. Never received a response from my ex's creditor for the complaint I raised, will probably just let that one go.

    6. No change to my DPA, but may add a bit to that each month just so I can try random settlement offers to D3, or hope they counteroffer near what I have.

    7. Must read through my thread to make sure I've done everything I need to!

I may soon be able to have a one-liner for this section :D

    Positive ending for today:

    1. Had my final wage from the agency and P45, get my holiday pay Monday.

    2. Have to build a H2o atom tomorrow for my degree, then I get to eat it as I'm making it out of jelly beans!

    3. Spent over an hour with the H&S woman at work doing my desk assessment. No stone was left unturned and everything has been ordered already. If the chair etc are no good then she will order me different ones to try. I'm highly shocked at how much support staff get.

My office is also getting switched around next week to make my set up more user-friendly for me.

    4. Must fill out and return my DSA form for a disabled grant for my studies, that will pay for the chair if it's suitable.

    5. Surprisingly I'm not as tired as I normally am when working FT, but I think a stress-free, 'lower' role helps.

    6. Buying some outfits tomorrow and some trainers as I've been given the ok to wear jeans and a casual top with trainers on days I'm not doing meetings or dealing with people, plus I'm ok to wear trainers any day of the week so I am comfortable walking around work :D

    7. A bit of bad news, my OH has broken his foot. Don't ask! my plant was unharmed ;)

    8. Not doing much else the weekend due to 7 above :D

    9. Money to MSA's. Deposit is growing nicely.

    10. Must buy another PB this month, I know there is slim to no chance of winning anything but at least my money isn't going down the pan if I was doing the lotto.

Glad the new job is going so well. Sympathies to your OH that sounds really painful

My job is going really well and I spent a bit of last night thinking about it, somehow I have to snap out of putting explanations for everything and I guess overcomplicating everything eg a small spreadsheet, I come along and add more columns for extra info. But it's difficult after my former career, but also part of how I've got the role! My boss doesn't mind and knows I'm happy doing it, as well as small things like filling the kettle and offering to switch it on after I get back to my office then telling the main boss the kettle is going on as I walk by his office; I don't have hot drinks just to put this into context :)

My OH is in a bad way, but battling on. My cat is playing nurse for a few weeks til he is mobile and they enjoy each others company. He is the only person, aside from me, that she has accepted in her life and not hid from.
Guess I will be getting a stack of photos when I'm at work of them two snuggled up :D but at least I can keep an eye on him when I'm home :A

Popped out to get a winter coat today, it's from go outdoors nearly knee length and has a hood; I look like Kenny from South park :rotfl: . Just what I need to keep warm and limit cold weather pain increases. Will do my clothes shopping next weekend as I'm not up for doing much today.

Building my H2o later and forgot to post the DMC form :p

    Having a chilled out weekend!

Sounds really painful for your OH. Cat snuggling up can be nice though. Glad you are feeling less stress.

    Monday update:

    1. No post.

    2. I've forgotten to send the former DMC form off and a letter to D3 with a settlement offer.

    Positive ending for today:

    1. Got my holiday pay :D

    2. Money moved to MSA's and two are nicely rounded up! I've stopped paying into one of them as it has a nice figure in it (think I may have already said that).

Had to change my savings goal for my newer savings account as I've hit that target; raised it up a K. Still sinking as much money in as possible.

    3. I did buy a PB today and am planning on buying one each month, it will give me a little nest egg for retirement or rainy day fund; I haven't decided what figure I will stop at yet, I guess if they increase the purchase cost back to £100 each that will be the deciding factor.

    4. Have reworked my spreadsheets and have kept my bond under the deposit section and I'm back to saving in my lower interest accounts for my solicitor and broker fees.

Spent a bit of time yesterday working out the minimum I can put away each month and carefully apportioning it across the accounts; highest amounts into higher interest and worked out how much I need to put away for the solicitors / broker fees (I'm halfway there with them).

    5. I'm expecting another update from my broker this week, but still expect it to be no mortgage this year, shame as I really did like that maisonette!

I did have a sneaky look at properties that I think may be out of budget, but there are a few flats. So I haven't completely ruled out being able to buy kind of over this way.

I also looked at the H2B ISA but I doubt it's worth it for under six months. New builds are also way out of budget even in the cheap area (don't like new builds anyway) and ruled out H2B equity loan as I do not feel comfortable with them.

It will be interesting seeing what I do end up buying :D

    Anyhow, time for chocolate biscuits!

It nice that you are feeling so much more positive and have lots that you are working towards. It's great when dreams start to take on a tangible quality - as we get closer to achieving them.

  • Friday update:

    1. No post.

    2. Acceptance posted to former DMC yesterday.

    3. I'm not going to contact D3, I've offered, they counter-offered, it's currently unenforceable.

    Positive ending for today:

    1. Money moved to MSAs.

    2. Bucket load of documents sent to my broker, poor guy having to go through everything!

All those 1p, 2p, 5p 20p etc transfers I've been making on an almost daily basis to shift the 99p and under into my savings accounts  going to just throw my money into my highest interest paying account and stop adding to the others to try and make everyone's life easier for when I do go for a mortgage :rotfl: it was a rediculous amount of statements I printed off today and I'm :embarasse but at the same time so proud of how I have saved since starting over :j

I do love how my broker checks everything carefully. He has done loads recently due to me securing a permanent position and seeing if I can get placed this year or if it's next year. Always lets me know what he is doing and why. Appears I'm fine on affordability with my income / outgoings! I know how long I will fix it for, purely for stability of outgoings.

    3. I've had a look at properties over both areas I'm looking to buy. Oddly enough I have spotted another one of those maisonettes, same side of the building and an upper again, only it's completely move-in-able just would want a wipe and vacuum when it's vacated, nothing obvious required from all the photos, appears to be a loved and looked after home, nice garden, decent amount of parking. It's also a hell of a lot cheaper.

I will be carefully monitoring prices and properties once a week and making sure the value of my deposit doesn't have to increase. Although I think I will be ok with a slight increase in property prices as I'm just adding money to my deposit rather than having to get the rest of it. I guess I'm 2/3rds of the way to home ownership, just need to secure the mortgage

    4. Work is going well, feels like I've been with them for a few months. I've been flying solo the last two days as my boss has been away. I started just getting stuck in and dealing with stuff; gave me a much needed confidence boost :T

    5. Buying a few more outfits for work tomorrow and might go the beach afterwards.

Not going to overdo it this weekend as I had a busy day yesterday and need to just get comfy and watch some films.

    What a day update:

    1. Went to Matalan and picked up some stuff for work. Also managed to bag a nighty on sale for £3 turned out it was a pair, can't complain at that!

    2. I also picked up some cat cups (£1.50 each) and cat coasters (50p each) for when I get my own place.

I've dug out a box and will get it filled with the bits I need. I don't need loads just some plates, cutlery (as I didn't bring any with me when I relocated) and white goods (which I will buy when I do get my own place) but it will be nice making it homely.

    3. Spent the afternoon on the beach with a bonfire, I absolutely stink of smoke, trying to get rid of the smell and have a soak to warm up.

Had chippy night and may just settle on the sofa with a beer and a film!

    Wednesday update:

    1. ICO are investigating my complaint now.

    Positive ending for today:

    1. I think I've been an absolute thicko working out potential property purchase prices and required deposit!

    Working example:

    I was doing £100k + 15% = what I can buy.

I think I should have been doing £100k - 15% = mortgage deposit and the £100k is the overall amount.

When I got in tonight I reworked all my scribbles for the various prices. Got the added complication that I need the property to be a minimum value with the lender my broker is looking at, which is less than the maisonettes I am thinking about chasing (I am smitten with the amount of space / walk-in cupboards they have!) They are the right value, but my purchase price and value price have to be over what they appear to be selling for (Hope that makes sense). I will confirm everything with my broker when I check in with him.

I have got 15% for the lowest value property I can buy, next month I can move up to another value. I'm monitoring my deposit against moving up in property values; every month I can nearly move up by nearly £5k in property value. I can't quite tighten my belt enough each month to do a full value jump.

    2. Need to look at properties again and see what's meeting lender requirements.

I did get a home report for a property over the side nearer to work, but it said it was in overall poor condition. I've not actually seen that in any of the HB reports I've accessed. I've now ruled that one out.

    3. My OH is having a great time, aside from my nurse cat standing on his foot  hospital have been in contact and he has to go back in a few weeks for another x-ray if it still hurts; but have warned him they can't do anything if it's not repairing itself :(

    4. I should be hearing about my divorce application within the next week or so. Just hoping my ex hasn't disputed it based on his GFs opinions

    5. Had my two week review at work, all is going well. My boss keeps saying if I need him to go round the building for some of my tasks he has no problems with that, I've told him to stop treating me like I'm disabled :rotfl: if I want help I will tell him.

Think he can spot when I'm having a bad pain day. Thankfully he was out today as I would have got confined to my office!

It's such a relaxed environment, we all have music playing in our rooms, all sing along to it; it's like a family unit and I've big brothers all around me.

    6. My pain levels are increasing, partly due to weather and partly due to one specific issue. Hopefully, if I don't push myself I can get through it :j I haven't liked how my one leg felt today but am monitoring it and if it persists will book a GP appointment. I have been wondering if I have been misdiagnosed years ago and whether my recent suspected diagnosis is what I've had all along, will do a bit of research into it for my own benefit :)

    7. Must book my MOT!

    Monday update:

    1. FoS rejected my complaint, they were told I still have an account from when I was a teenager. Why T couldn't have said that in their letter I don't know. I closed it the weekend.

    2. No cheque yet from former DMC.

    Positive ending for today:

    1. Booked my MOT, it runs out in two days! Hope it's not going to cost too much if it needs anything doing; not been able to get it into the garage I've been using but another branch. My regular branch couldn't fit me in til next week and they have said it's a good car and nothing needed doing when I last took it in.

I didn't want to be housebound the weekend. Hopefully any repairs can be done quickly and then MOT'd; I know it needs a new sidelight bulb.

    2. Managed to buy some winter boots the weekend. Dr Marten style, lace up, but with a zip down the side. So comfy and only £16.

    3. Did something to my knee on Friday and had to get a decent support for it. I'm able to put weight on my leg with the support, but hurts a lot without it if I put weight on it and buckles under me.

As this support is good I've ordered a similar one for my other foot as that's just not getting any better. It's been 14 months since I did something to my Achilles. Wish my body didn't react the way it does with injuries, but it's expected due to the overall damage.

    4. Work is good, sorted out a breakfast for a group and they barely touched it! Got loads of brioche rolls and fruit for the week :D

My four week review is this week!

    5. Money moved to MSA's.

    6. Not sure if I said, but I've spotted a three bed bungalow; two beds upstairs. It's been on the market for a little while but I'm three increases away from having the deposit for it. I'm only a couple of grand away which isn't a lot, but I've no way of cutting back further to get the money quicker.

    I am still monitoring properties!
