Dear all,
As the keeper of the car, I have received this notice. There was a parking ticket from 15.40 to 16.40 (which they do not mention) and the notice says that the car entered the car park at 15.18 and left at 16.56. Contravention: Unpaid tariff time.
It was a busy day and the car is big, therefore, it took a while to find the appropriate space. As it was a busy day and some of the family were still getting dressed and ready, the car was taken out of the parking space to allow other people to park, and was waiting by the road (which was probably still a part of the car park) for the rest of the family to catch up, while leaving - it certainly had left the parking space just around 16.45.
If the event occurred was on Day 1, the date on the notice is Day 12 and it was received by the keeper on day 17.
I have gone through the previous threads, this was then called SMART parking - there are no posts for INITIAL parking - who are member of the BPA.
I have seen the template. With the above background, I would be grateful if someone could tell me what should be added/deleted from the template. Many thanks.

It appears that Initial Parking have taken over this car park recently. Another poster came here yesterday with a PCN from the same car park and same company.
They sent the blue appeal template from the NEWBIES unaltered from the keeper, and the charge was cancelled within the hour.
See if you can beat that!

The date of the alleged event is day zero, not day 1, but your NTK is still too late to transfer liability to the keeper. You can add that to the initial appeal as a one liner if you wish, otherwise use it at PoPLA if they don't cancel.I married my cousin. If they do not cancel do not worry, help is at hand. They are obviously trying to scam you so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thanks so much for your replies. I have just sent it off online from their website. Copy/pasted the template along with the extra line included about the ntk taking longer than 14 days to reach the keeper. Will update once I hear back.0

Hi there.
Im the poster from yesterday as mentioned above. Just interested to see how it works out for you. I got done for waiting longer than 10 mins, never even parked!
My notice also arrived late (18 days), didnt even add that, just sent the template as is and they gave in!0 -
Hi Hardnox, I have been checking hourly after seeing your thread - haven't yet received a reply from them. Will see how this goes. Really pleased that you got it dismissed - it looks promising for the rest of us as well.0

These will be easy to beat every time as they don't use POFA words to hold a keeper liable.
So the secret is not to say who was driving, and they'll either cancel, or you will win as 'registered keeper - no liability' (using our POPLA templates for a longer appeal) at second stage appeal.
It really is that easy against the likes of PPCs who don't use POFA wording.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
