All went quiet for a few months, now I have received an email from Gladstones giving 30 days after which they may issue legal proceedings.

Just to double check, if I'm going to defend this (as is my intention) I just wait for these proceedings?

Now is the time to read the first few paragraphs of the second post of the NEWBIES thread which explain exactly how to react upon receipt of a Letter of Claim.

If you want to get it over with then either wait for the court claim to arrive or tell them in writing to bring it on asap.

If however you want to drag this out and cost them (a small amount of) time and money, send a 30 day hold instruction telling them whilst you deny the debt you are seeking debt advice and require the case to be put on hold for 30 days.
