New me New start, Pania's positive Progress!

i tell you what hon it's crap it really is. I've had 2 managers calling me yesterday and today asking me to do things not knowing i've been given the boot. I'm also not allowed to say ANYTHING to anyone about the position i've been offered. I really don't want to be more isolated at home, i quite enjoy getting out and about. The target on the new job is massive too, not sure if it's acheivable or if they will use it as an excuse to fire me for not acheiving target. Also if i accept it now and leave further down the line i will leave my commission whereas this time round i get chance to keep my commission.
However if i leave i'm kinda condemning myself to the mercy of the job market and temping market. Aaaargh!!!!

Anyway enouhg about me hon, how are you doing? what are you up to and what have you done to the back???

Maybe time to sit and list the pros and cons of each? I know where you're coming from re the mercy of the job market (hence why I didn't go for that fixed term job a few months back) but am not sure this company gives you much more security really! Am sure you'll reach the right decision though

The £500 by end of June target seems like a good idea - I need to do something similar to pay for holiday

Am not bad, also applying for lots of jobs as it isn't getting any better here, it's bearable but I want some sort of future (and a decent salary). Local Uni has quite a few posts going at the moment so sending them lots of applications.

Back is always a bit temperamental, I think this time is because I've been hunched over my desk for the last couple of days doing some really repetitive work :rolleyes:

Bank holiday this weekend.. yay! :j

Pania - think long and hard about staying with this company - it seems they are (as the great Hypno states so eloquently!) !!!!!!! Personally I think take the interviews -get another job asap and get the heck out of that place! BTW if you have been made redundant why are you still working for them? This seems very odd to me! Have they replaced the broadband?

I don't really get the broadband issue either-Either you are redundant and your services are no longer required -or you have been given a period of notice to work-in which case all tools should still be available to you.
Complete messers don't know their a&&& from their elbows and you'd always wonder when they'd be doing it again.
Personally I'd send em round to Dragon's with their own ketchup !!!

Hey everyone!!! managed to take a break from work and jump back on again.

Ok... Re the broadband... reason I have been given is that we now need to source our own broadband, and claim it back as an expense each month. However in the meantime i have had to buy a dongle so i can continue to work in the meantime.

I have a formal meeting re the redundancy next friday. Until then i am "still an employee and expected to cary out your duties as you have been." if i then reject the other position i will be redundant with immediate effect and not expected to work further.

Some how though my heart has kinda gone out of it, funny that!!

Yes they are indeed !!!!!! at best and it is beyond funny now that this is going on. Still managing to remain nice and positive but it is a bit of a !!!!!! i have to be honest.

Hmm but they gave you no warning - claim for constructive dismissal I fancy!

Get everything down on paper as to why you are not satisfied with the company (as I said Constructive Dismissal - Bury St Edmunds - watch them go pale!)

Hi pania, good to see you back on hun. I have one of those dongle thingies. I can take it anywhere. Best invention ever. Hope things work out job wise. And i would agree they are !!!!!!. Dont lose your commision hun if you can help it. They maybe offering you this new position so they wont have to pay you out. Tell em to stick it where the sun dont shine. You have enough nouse girl to get yourself another job. And i dont think it will be to long before you fall on your feet again. Keep at it hun, Have faith in yourself. Lots of love anfd hugs.
