Agree with Dragon and Bob - if they're not giving you the usual resources to do the job, you shouldn't be doing it. And I'm glad to see you on here!

Have you managed to get to CAB for advice or it may be worth asking ACAS? If theyve taken your broadband etc then surely theyve altered the conditions of work, without notice, and either you are there or you're not!! They cat have it both ways! Hugs for you! Hope the job hunting is fruitful soon for you :)

    Hello everyone!!!!

I dot a dongle!!!:T :rotfl: :j so i'm back in the lovely world of MSE, have missed you guys.

So, where to start then? Hmmmm, job? right, well, since last week it has been jobhunting a go go and it would appear there may be a few options open to me, nothing concrete other than temp work at the local police headquarters (although temp work can't keep me going permanently it will buy me some time and TBH i really really fancy a return to my old roots of a fashion.) and the temp work may well give me a n in to other jobs available there if i haven't suceeded in the 2 i applied for.

I have been invited for an interview friday morning to retrain more into a financial services rather than pure mortgage advice role so see how that one goes. But truth be known Mortgage advice has never really stimulated me, was more a move away from rubbish, post-end-of-career jobs and into something a bit better paid. so this may be the boot up the bot i need to get it sorted.

Work today offered me another position within the company   and TBH i really won't to tell them to stick it somewhere deep and dark... how can you turn someones life upside down one minute, devastate them and then 6 days later say "oh, actually, you're only redundant if you want to be" surely you'd coverall your bases before delivering the news.
Part of me says "it's secure for the next few months" another part of me says "why the hell should i-numpties!!! "
I've been sworn to secrecy about the role but it is purely totally and utterly home based which is putting me off as that means my interaction with other people would be at a minimum to say the least. and it's reasonably limited now.
Also some have said take it and leave in a few months if i want, but then i'd loose the (minimal) benefits redundancy will give me and will be walking away from a months pay and all my commissions, which are payable if i take redundancy now.

ANyhoo, I figured time for a new SOA.... here goes!!!! (based purely on outgoings, i'll explain the income bit in a minute.)

    Rent £525
Mobile phone £ 40 (2 yr contract taken out when i was using it for work, can't be lowered yet)
    life ins £6.18
    Pet ins £10.81
    food £50
    car ins £26.60
    car tax £16.83
petrol £180 (worst case scenario assuming i stick with work)
    hair £5
    gym £28.95
    Internet £15

    total everyday expenses £904.37

    Debt repayments

    Northern rock £274
    Dad £100
    Nationwide Loan £100
    Nationwide CC £45
    blair oliver scott £40
    blair oliver scott £31
    training debt £50

    Total Debt Repayments £640

    Total out per month £1544.37

if i leave work the petrol will drop to £60 a month, saving £120. realisticallyt i need a 24k salary per year to cover the above. eek.

    Anyway, today in other news...

DP is an angel and is doing really well, Hypno and i must must must go for another run but things have been a bit manic of late. i'm slowly and steadily going stark raving bonkers. xoh is being a pain int butt but someone else is making me smile.... so all in life is going good. there are only rainbows here, i refuse to see black clouds!!!:D

    Love you all. xxx
