Sounding good-nothing negative at this point an d even if they decide to consolidate the business in with their existing business eventually you're in the right place geographically and performing well with sales. Obviously continue to look around but it seems it could be all good.
I think holding back on overpayments for now is sensible-as you say -peace of mind but the knowledge that the money is there once the dust has settled. I think you've covered all bases and hopefully you'll stop worrying so much now (I can hope eh ;) ) as short-term is fine-and long term-well.....none of us really know what long term holds anyway.
Have a good day today and relax a bit. The crisis has passed and it's back to the DFW slog now so just keep focus.
You know where I am if you need a pep talk or a giggle

P.S. Did you get any insight into the "why" ?

ok, so the debt has gone up. (again) i WILL get sub £25k if it kills me!!!

Basically the reason is thus. each month i have been deducting the entire amount i am paying off the balance of debt 6, welcome finance, forgetting to take into account the interest that they then whack back on top again!!! grrrr... hopefully this one will be gone very shortly and then the amount I pay back to dad each month will correlate to the entire balance rather than adding interest on top.
so a wee minor setback but atleast the debt is still coming down and i've not had to borrow more to get by.

Yep i found out during the conversation yesterday when they said that if the business goes back to being viable then everyone will be levelled to the same salary.... everyone else was in outrage while i was the only one going whoppeeee!!!!! looked around the room and thought "oh....."

Your extra stuff challenge is going well!!! wheres the thread? I'm no further forward than i was the other day, I really must get going again, I may try an MB this weekend just to see how i get on...

Big hugs, hope the hangover abates soon...

OOh me head :o Yeah I'm alright, went out for a couple of drinks after work and kinda got the taste for wine, so just had to get a bottle on the way home (must admit was feeling a bit sorry for myself after a really boring day at work and a mini-strop at OH, nowt serious though). Didn't eat much either so feeling the effects this morning!

Sorry you're having such a hard time Pania. Hope you come out of this OK.

Debts, by the way, aren't inherited after someone dies. If they leave enough in their "estate" then all debts must be paid from that but if there isn't enough to pay them all their relatives are not liable.
