Hello guys and good morning!!!
No wasn't catastrophic thank god, was a little concerned on the drive in that i was going to walk in with a job, and walk out again with a little money but no job!:o :rotfl: thankfully I still do! however i have to say it has scared me witless and i will be taking out income insurance asap just in case. £8 PM is worth it even just to cover the money i owe dad on a monthly basis...It would be horrendous having come this far with my debt to take a massive backward step if things did go awry.
Have sorted out life insurance in the last week to (initially through quidco for £80 with the full intention of cancelling it as soon as the cashback had paid out:rotfl: ) but with my level of debt it would be so unfair to pass that onto my family if anything happened to me.
XOH's dad died last week and he and his sister have discovered his parents are up to their eyeballs in debt and his mum now only has a state pension and very small amount from a private pension he had to pay it back.:o
Life insurance is a god send in many circumstances which i think is why i get upset when people are advised to cancel it on their SOA, Hell no!!! when your in debt is when you need it most!!
Right so news from gotnomoney cottage then.....
Off to the OH's folks this avo to speak to his business minded mum re the work scenario and get another point of view on it all, then off to the gym, i fancy a real good blast today as was all pathetic the other day when i went, was in one of those "can't be ar**d kinda moods!:D " Then will probably head to the lovely, oh-my-god-how-much-money-is-that-lady-making, Hypno's house for a cuppa and a girly gas... I think that I can reduce the debt totals today to, will head off to online banking in a sec...
I'm not going to overpay anything until I know for definate what is occuring through work, bit of a !!!!!! that but if things do stabilise then i should hopefully have a lump sum to reeeeeeallllllllly overpay!!!:D so not all bad, just delayed....:D
I am also only going to get about £210 commission this month to:eek: so i'm defiantely going to need the money i have stored with mum but still concentrating on other money making efforts such as bingo (yawn!) ebay and the good old trusty amazon!
Have a great day everyone...
Big hugs
P

Morning P - glad to hear that it wasn't too bad news yesterday! The big thing that struck me was your salary being so much lower than everyone else's.. and in the meantime they've had the cheek to criticise how you've been handling your money!!! At least you've got a bit of time to think about everything though.
Have a lovely day...

ooooh dear squizzel why the hangover hon? you ok?
Yep i found out during the conversation yesterday when they said that if the business goes back to being viable then everyone will be levelled to the same salary.... everyone else was in outrage while i was the only one going whoppeeee!!!!! looked around the room and thought "oh....."
Your extra stuff challenge is going well!!! wheres the thread? I'm no further forward than i was the other day, I really must get going again, I may try an MB this weekend just to see how i get on...
Big hugs, hope the hangover abates soon...debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hi all, just wanted to shine a little light into that very dark tunnel you are all in right now, I know how it is, i've been there. I had been in debt since the age of 18, i'm now 23 and - as from December 4th 2007 am finally debt free! After several stupid decisions, starting of with borrowing money from the bank, a big no no! Then getting a car on HPI, Then borrowing money for a computer course - which I never completed! Along with a few other stupid decisions, and the interest and the penalties for late/missed payments (mainly from the bank) - W*nkers! Sorry but they are!! I know they're in the business of making money but please have a heart! Or get one I should say!!! Anyway after 5 long, very long years £22,000 all payed back! (thats with the interest and charges and what not) Now I know that there are quite a few people out there with way, way more debt than that but my point is please don't give up or give in to these greedy, vicious fat cats who live off of our misery! I was told by many people that I would see that light at the end of the tunnel, the truth is I kind of did but sort of didn't if that makes sense because towards the end of my debt I could finally see where my money was going and I could actually work out a date when I would be debt free! But the truth is I just kept my head down, worked loads of overtime and rang my creditors every Friday paying back what I could when i could. Although 5 year's doesn't sound like a long time (and i'm sure there are many, many people out there that have been in debt a lot longer than that) but you try telling that to the person who is in debt and i'm sure they'll soon tell you differently
And working nights as a agency Forklift Driver on pritty crap money doesn't help either! Well i'm now in a situation where, for the first time ever, I actually have money that is mine and not borrowed! And I don't have to worry about having enough money in the bank to pay my several ex-creditor's! I'm now looking at buying a car for myself instead of sharing my mum's!
And hopefully at the end of the year (maybe sooner) I will have my own place!
Life really couldn't be any different now from what it was only a few short month's ago. It sill hasn't quite sank in, I know, strange, isn't it. I'm still waiting for the Postman to bring yet another bloody bill, that's what debt can do to you, long lasting impact. Well I should proberly get going now, sorry if i've rambled on a bit and sorry for an spelling mistakes, i've just finised a night shift (although im now full time instead of agency
my life really has changed so much, perhap's that's why it's not all quite sunk in yet... I just wanted to shine a little light for you all, and say IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF DEBT! Just DON'T give up! DON'T give in! Persist and persue, you WILL get there! Just realised how long this is, SORRY!!!!!
I can't remember if theres anything i've missed out, i'm so tired, can't think straight. I shall check back in a few days for any reply (s) and add anything if need be. Good luck and take care! Regards. Phil
p.s keep smiling - it'll confuse you're creditor's0
