Ta :rotfl:In my line of work it's quite a good thing really!

Am having a little attack of guilt here - I decided not to tell my boss that I'm going for an interview, she's had a lot of stress to deal with lately and I didn't want her to worry (which I know she would) when of course I might not get it, so I just booked the morning off. One of the girls in my office has just asked what I'm doing when I'm off tomorrow, so had to mumble something about things to do, going to the bank blah blah blah.. feel a bit bad for lying now! Know I'm being silly - as people keep telling me it's only work!

  • afternoon! Chutney is currently bubbling just managed to stop the blood dripping in! What am I like - I have a lovely face knfe whch I sharpen when I make a new batch! All fine until I whacked my hand in the washing up only to find the knife meeting with my finger!! Marmalade has been abandoned as last time I tried it with a cut it was agony!! I didnt explain properly re the "wound" no goo has come out (thank goodness!) but when you press it its just fluid inside where they took the lump out so my back feels like a very soft stress ball- yeuw! GROSS & I'm not even squeemish!! Its healing nicely though and bruising much better & have left it open today to get some air in!! Sorry will shut up now!!
Got an email re the running & WRN woman suggests a 5k in summer, 10 k in autumn & then 1/2 next year. I will erase the last bit from my mind for now and just focus on the first bit!! Will have a peek this afternoon as must be race for life here in the summer.
Spreadsheet people I wish I could get them as they look pretty, unlike my scrawl!! What time is it RS? Hope youve recovered from the alch consumption!! Lunar - at least you have an excuse for brain deadedness - I have none!! Just like that naturally!!
I have 5 fags left & a bit of wine & then thats it! No more - return to giving up! Realised that if I hadnt got cigs this month my o/d would have been pretty much non existant! Never mind!

Yum, what kind of chutney have you made?

Must admit while I've 'invented' some flashy ones for work, my own budget spreadsheet is actually a combination of Eager Learner's debt spreadsheet (one sheet for actual payments and one for projected) and a monthly personal ingoings and outgoings taken from a Microsoft template and adapted a bit.

No ill effects from the few drinks this morning thankfully! Still got most of a bottle of wine at home but it might not be a good idea to finish it tonight!! :rotfl: Interview is at 11am.. I'll probably be awake from about 4....!

I've more or less stopped smoking in the last few months (still pinch the odd one off mates when we're out sometimes :o) - definitely good for the budget!!!

  • wel I'm just going for it RS ad useless as the "just have one" approach! Tend to be all or nothing! Have now applied for race for life on 1 june & my mum will walk it while I try to run it all! hutney is dowager chutne - a gorgeous old recipe that is dark, rich & simply delicious if I dont say so myself - its got toms, raisins, onions, chilli, sugar and is just the best ever! Good luck for the interview - will be thinking of you!

hi Pania sounds like the running is going fab, you'll be at the front of the pack on the marathon. I've been playing with my spreadsheets (another one here who loves them) and am trying to figure out how to survive but i will. Can't wait for friday when i get my payslip so i know how much i get of my back pay after tax man has his share. Shame payday isn't till the 28th booooooo!
Sorry to hear you were attacked by the washing up ISOM i was attacked by a forsythia yesterday, guess it didn't like the fact i was digging it up and sawing it etc. lol
