I would love to go to a meet, however I am pencilled in for doing some adult education teaching on the Saturday when they doing the B'ham meet
, would love to get out of it but it pays £36 for two hours so goes a huge way to my debtbusting! I will definately know whether going ahead in a few weeks, I am sure there will be others.
Regarding my challenge and turning over new leaf, I am a Take That fan and they are doing a concert in tv on New Years Eve... that is me staying in then with a bottle of wine and packet of Pringles! Would usually spend a fortune on taxis, beer etc on NYE. Thank you Take That :ASecond and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -
isn't it lovely to have a dream to aspire to, especially one that is particularly passionate and forms most of your waking thoughts, so if karma you want sun, sea, sand and.... sangria in Barcelona then you shall have it.
Well i have just got off the phone to my kiwi buddy who checks in on my diary occasionally. He has asked that if i am going to spout the virtues of his homeplace to everyone that i atleast learn to spell it correctly!!!!:rotfl:
So it is spelt Paihia not pahia as i put, (sorry hon) furthermore it is apparently Maori for the term Beautiful Here, which shows it's virtues straight away!! so this it typed with apologies to any diary reading kiwi's that may stroll this way.:D
He also has declared me nuts for the 15K challenge:rolleyes: BUT I DON'T CARE!!!!!!:p
right, so anyway, today is the first day of the rest of my working life. and if i were to be honest (not that it's ANY excuse to my bosses actions towards me whatsoever) what has been going on lately has knocked my concentration and I know that I've not been working maybe quite as hard as i could have. SO today is the day i blow their socks off!! I AM the amazing mortgage advisor that they had employed and i am off to prove that to them and earn as much money from this job towards the 15K as I possibly can.
I'm riding along on the wave of this positivity outbreak i am undergoing and have a real I'LL SHOW EM!! attitude!! so i'm off to kick @rse today. :j
Hope that you all have a good and productive day today, see ya soon!!! xxxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
well i think maybe a meet in london would be fab, i know that quite a few of us are near that way and should be able to nip down, or up, or across, not too far from norwich on train and leicester square is always a giggle for a meet. Anyway, I think i'm off to Northampton with OH and the bessie buddy for new years eve so no take that for me new years eve (insert sulky face here). however boyzone tickets go on sale today... oh, what do you mean i don't have any money left??? dammit!! ;-)debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

 Hi Pania
NZ is lovely isn't it! I spent a wonderful 2 months there (1 month in each island)... amazing! I think it helps to have a goal in mind when setting yourself a challenge! It will help when you feel low or demoralised to think of walking in the Abel Tasman NP or walking on Franz Josef Glacieror swimming with wild dolphins in Kaikoura (sooooooo amazing!!!!!!
)... ooopppsss thats me............
Nah... one of my motivational things in getting debt free is so I can spend time going to all the corners of the globe that intrigue me!! I managed to get to Morocco this year (thanks to the lowcost airlines now flying there :rotfl: ) but there are so many places I'd love to go to :rolleyes:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

it is stunning hon. I too did franz joseph, and the Huka jet at Taupo, and swam with the dolphins in Paihia (not pahia! he he) (where I met my best friend). We spent only a week travelling around the south island, but made it to mount cook, wanaka, Haast pass, franz joseph, greymouth (never again!) and then back across to christchurch.
We then got the train up to Picton and the ferry across to wellington.
We then went from Wellington up to Napier (not my bag really) mt maunganui, across to waitomo, up to auckland then bay of islands.
Mum came home after 3 weeks and I had 3 wonderful weeks out there in bay of islands on my own, diving, swimming with the dolphins and generally having a blast. I was in the police at the time and went out on patrol with NZ police in auckland for 3 night duties, even got to go up in their police helicopter, eagle, over auckland harbour at night.
I lost an awful lot of money on that holiday! and my heart to, memories like that never ever fade and I am so glad that you loved it to Taka.
There are places that I would love to travel to, Kenya, canadian rockies, norwegian fjords and the maldives,
Squirrel you must defo put it on your list of places to go to hon. You will be so glad you did.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Just caught this & wanted to send big hugs & a rousing "go girl". I wont join you on the challenge as like others, I am !!!! at challenges but just wanted to say I'll keep an eye out! I want to get my CC's paid off by end of next year and thats about 7700...
Never know I may come to see you when you go to NZ! A good friend of mine her is moving back in Jan (see diary!) and my old Avatar (british blue cat) is called Manu which is a Maori name..not sure what it means - would your friend know?! Am def going to see them at some stage & by the time I get some money you may be there too! Would def get the extortionate loan paid off first - not sure about snowball etc (made me feel phyiscally sick the 1 time I did it!!) but would wantto get shot of it in principle of the less money I gave them the better!! Not the most sensible money saving option but there you go!! Big hugs & well done on the positive thinking - much better way to go!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
