Curry’s eBay gift card scam

I’ve just signed up to post this so I can get others views and maybe similar experiences to do with this dilemma. So I purchased some Netflix gift cards from the curry’s eBay shop to buy someone a nearly years worth of subscription. Previous bad experiences have led me to all but avoid these crooks but I thought surely no one can get the sale of gift cards wrong. It turns out I was wrong, they sent the physical cards to me and upon trying the 1st code several times I kept getting ‘invalid code’ message from Netflix.
The team at eBay are unresponsive to messages and even when they are they’re of no help. My problem is if I send them back what’s to stop them saying I’ve redeemed them. Right now I have one left unscratched and one more I tried under instruction from the ‘know how’ advisor. To me it seems they post these to get confirmation of delivery so to wriggle out of non receipt claims but at the same time eBay now see the sale as complete. And being digital goods I’m sure eBay will say tough as how do I prove I haven’t redeemed one.
I even called Netflix support and they tried with no luck and came to the conclusion the store I bought it from have not followed the correct sale procedure. Any advice would be appreciated and hopefully this helps others falling for their scam.

All of this and you are yet to contact the seller?0 -
Contacted the seller as soon as the issue became clear, they took 2 days just to tell me to contact the know how team. Their not taking the opportunity to even take the lead and investigate, just usual copy paste apology emails. I know this process may take up to 2 weeks but I’m just posting here to learn if others may have had positive ends to similar situations.0

Something seems a little odd here. I've just checked the Currys eBay shop and I don't see any Netflix gift cards for sale. I don't understand why you would buy from a retailer selling undiscounted vouchers in any case. Are you sure it was the Currys shop? If you ordered them through Currys I would expect Currys Customer Service to be of more use than eBay's. Admittedly Currys Customer Service doesn't have the best reputation but it would still be my first port of call.0

It was definitely Currys eBay shop, I have the invoice from them. It's a good fake shop if it is posing as them, I have the listing id too. I bought it only because of the 10% off voucher on their eBay shop. I did contact them first only to be directed to a number for the team called 'know how'. Just wondering where to turn now as I am down the £67.50 paid and PayPal found in their favour citing digital goods as the reason..0

Can you post a link to their eBay shop, or an item number from the same seller.0

That I started also and is the final option, so they gave me a slip to print off and send. The problem here too is I'm so distrusting of them as a team that I'm left thinking what if they say what I send back is used or any other excuse? Do you think I should risk it?0

I see what another poster means about the listing being removed, can't click though the item id now, what is going on here is baffling. Surely they have done this to others, I feel sorry for anyone that has experienced this or will in future, hence why I'm trying to bring it to other attention.0
