Or how about he/she says the regular payments are a burden and he/she is struggling to make them over the long period ahead, given the young family they have and the fact the Defendant is not working (or is only working part time), and would like to ask for two possibilities:
(a) ask to reduce them to once every other month
or
(b) as a possible alternative and win-win for both sides, a family member has offered to pay in full on condition UKCPS sign a set aside with consent form to accompany a N244, so that the PCN is paid off (good for UKCPS) and the CCJ is wiped by application the OP will make to the court with UKCPS' consent attached (good for the OP).
The point of (a) is so UKCPS see the payments might dwindle so that (b) looks better.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
