Dear UKCPS,

I have recently noticed my credit record now has an added CCJ on due to a parking fine with yourselves. I am currently paying £20 a month over the telephone to yourselves each month to clear this fine.
The CCJ has an unbelievable impact on my daily life at the moment therefore I am therefore emailing to offer you the full fee to be paid immediately if you are happy to sign an agreement to a set aside by consent.
Kind regards0 -
Bear in mind that to clear the ccj you will have to pay the balance owing from the judgement, not the (presumably much lower) original charge you got when the PCN was first issued
And you will have to pay them first and trust them to subsequently agree to the set aside by consent.
Then trust that the court will agree to this.0 -

It originally was £75 now it’s £185! If I email UKCPS directly with my above email, is it a waiting game to see if they agree to this?0 -
Yes. You will have to pay the FULL JUDGMENT sum.
Your alternative would have been a 'set aside without consent' (AGAIN SEE NEWBIES THREAD WHERE THE SET ASIDE OPTIONS AND FEES ARE EXPLAINED) but the fact you've started to make payments has probably ruined that chance.
I wish you'd come here before you agreed to do that (no-one here phones UKCPS and sets up instalment plans!).
But try this - no ''Kind regards'' to that bunch of scumbags AND IT IS NOT A FINE:Dear UKCPS,

I have recently noticed my credit record now has an added CCJ on due to a parking fine with yourselves.
I am currently paying £20 a month over the telephone to yourselves each month but at no point did you tell me that by paying in instalments, a CCJ would be placed on my credit record even though I am paying it off.
As there is a CCJ now in place there is no incentive for me to continue to pay you anything, not least given the fact you misled me when talking about these instalments. I now discover that a CCJ will remain whatever I do (having it marked 'satisfied' in the end is no use to me).
I am a reasonable person and I now make the following proposal which resolves the matter for both of us:
I propose:
(a) I will agree to pay the remaining sum in full, if
(b) you sign an agreement to a 'set aside by consent' which I will present to the court with an N244 and thus the CCJ will be removed and no more of your time will be taken.
Yours faithfully.

As I said before, UKCPS are a scummy little firm - they operate out of a caravan round the back of the Blooming Rose pub in Leeds (or they did, when they were visited by DCBL in 'The Sheriffs are Coming'' for owing money to an ex employee, IIRC).
Nasty lot, and not to be paid. Big mistake and you got a CCJ anyway. Wrong move.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I can’t thank you enough for this!0 -
There is a good incentive for the OP to keep paying off the CCJ!
Now they have judgement, The claimant can start enforcement proceedings now for the full amount ordered to be paid. (Eh bailiffs/attachment of earnings etc).
Especially if you put it in writing you will stop payment of the (unofficial) instalments unless they agree to your request. The boot now really is on the other foot,!
Think about it before using that threat to get them to agree to cooperate over this! Were they to go for enforcement as they are entitled to, then you would have to pay all the extra cost involved on top of the amount you already owe that the court have ordered you to pay0 -

I guess - but at the moment it is simply a ‘threat’ no proceedings could start regarding ballifs unless I actually did not pay my payments. As it stands I’m on track.0 -

Hard to know how to word this one so that there is something in it for them.
Really hard one, this, as she started to pay them money she can't get a set aside without consent, I would guess (it would be risky - normally easy!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am suggesting that you think about the possible conseque of sending the letter saying you now have no incentive to continue to pay instalments as suggested in #15
(Presumably there's no mention in the judgement of allowing you to pay on the drip)0 -

Maybe send the letter you suggest but miss out the paragraph about having no incentive to pay them now??0
