Been at my mums and she has given me a few things she wanted to destash as below:

IN: The Ordinary 100% Plant Derived Hemi-Squaline - nervous about using this haha any tips welcomed
IN: CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion - has an SPF which is good I needed one of these

    .

Either use on your damp hair as a serum or apply a couple of drops to your face, if nervous mix with your serum or cream. Nothing to be nervous about though.

Cut open my Estee Lauder Double Wear Light and almost got another week of use out of it. Now uu, I can move onto a new tube. I keep coming back to this as I feel that it is a good color match and lasts a long time.

Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb - lovely colour but it wears off and leaves that ring around the edge of the lips and that coupled with the terrible packaging means WNBA.

    in

Yorkshire Soap Company shampoo bar - looking forward to trying this.

  • Dolly- I thought it was only me who had an issue with burts bees. I find it melts and needs to go into the fridge. It wears off poorly. I prefer to get something that wears off well and evenly.

Yesterday I finished pot of Lacura Q10 Cream. Will not repurchase as I didn’t enjoy the fragrance. Don’t mind it in their Serum though which I will repurchase. Have gone back to Liz Earle Skin Repair for night cream.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I totally agree and being vegan/or trying is definitely not a black and white process IMO, I am not a militant vegan in the slightest, just feel I mention it on here a lot when justifying what I bought :p

Fair enough. :) Thanks for the info about reusable menstrual products as well. :)

I didn't post these this morning as I've been out in Newcastle all day with my sister. I also got my first car yesterday, so I won't be making too many impulse purchases now, haha

Congratulations! :T Now you get to buy beauty products for your car to clean it with, instead! :rotfl:

I have two unexpected INs from a friend whose skin does not get along with them:

Garnier Skin Active Botanical Day Cream (50ml)
Nivea Daily Essentials Urban Detox Night Gel Cream (50ml)

Waste not, want not and all that...I'll try them and hopefully they will like me more, especially as my current moisturizer is just coming to the end.

I'm really quite impressed with the shampoo & conditioner bars so far - my hair seems to really like them.

I took a look in my toiletries cupboard the other day and my stash appears to be going down at a pleasing rate. I still have lots of travel minis to use up, though.

I've been eyeing up soap recipes online. I have a feeling I will end up making a batch soon. (But I really need to be doing the housework instead. Procrastinate? Moi...:rotfl:)

If you can get hold of some bees wax google Dr Sara Robb. She set up her own business when she had her daughter and also teaches classes at The Honey Show. I attended one once and it was really good. She also has a book of recipes, which I've lent to a friend otherwise I could have given you some of her recipes. I have to say the moisture lotion she got us to make is amazing.

  • Pickle -- are you going to use a pre-made soap base like a lot of hand made soaps do or do the caustic soda. I remember it as messy. it will be great to create your own scents and oils in the soap.

    I had a clear out
lip balm burts bees as it broke

lip balm moo goo spf. It is a physical spf and the zinc oxide felt terrible on my lips

sunday riley luna oil- it stained my bed linen and have been trying to use for 3 years and getting no where. I just did not love it or even tolerate it. mistaken purchase

aldi jo molone knock off.moisturizer cream just not using and unopened so donating

holland and barrett moisturizer- it is felt like a waxy film and was not using it. so out with it.

I am actively trying to go for easy wins and clear out things that will not be used again. I try to be more critical and mindful if I will use some thing now before buying.

Back from my holiday in Ghana and had a great time. Unfortunately, I seem to be sufffering from a sun-induced n allergy rash from the anti-malaria tablets so hoping it will clear up now I'm back to British weather.

    Ins:

2 x shea butter soaps from airport
1 x big block of raw shea butter to mix with oils to create home-made body butter

    UU:

    2 x nair removal creams
Tesco double edge razor - WNBA, too blunt
Lacura anti bacterial travel wipes - WBA, fantastic value. Really impressed with aldi products so far. Will try more once I've reduced stash.
Sephora blue nail polish - WMBA

    GA:
Boots baby wipes for mum to use whilst she's still in Ghana - WMBA, moisturising for skin without harsh chemicals but trying to reduce use of baby wipes for environmental reasons.
Bourjois nail polish remover travel pot - WBA, really useful for travel and quite effective.
