My next question would have been

    When did it change?

Why is it stated on your menu?

And then you get the ones who fill up their rucksacks with the continental items and jams . . . I saw a woman last week who brought a heaped bowlful of jam/marmalade pots back to her table, wrapped it up in a napkin and shoved it in her handbag. In front of the staff who didn't say a work to her about it. Her handbag was twice its original size when she left  No wonder there's never any jam left there.
That is really not in the spirit of 'all you can eat' or 'unlimited'.

I know someone who was charged extra in a Chinese 'all you can eat' buffet because they had ordered stupid amounts of food and were caught putting it in a bag under the table.
    They were also barred.

    Maybe meant:
Why is it stated on your menu 'unlimited' when you are saying that I'm limited to 3 eggs?

It's unlimited. All of it, even the cooked breakfast items. We've been asked, after we've eaten our cooked breakfasts, if we want any more!

If you really wanted to, you could sit there from 6.30am to 10.30am eating yourself [STRIKE]silly[/STRIKE] sick.

I've seen a customer order so much cooked breakfast that it had to be brought out on a serving tray instead of a plate. I'm not kidding, he must have ordered seven or eight of each item, from bacon to black pudding. I have no idea how he managed to eat it all. Just thinking about it makes me feel queasy.

fair enough. not a chance we could mange more than an 'average' cooked breakfast alongside the buffet.
Dont if they are all the same but ours has an extensive continental buffet. Its connected to a hotel,so its the breakfast supplier for that.

Hi all, just wanted to get your opinion on something that has annoyed me recently and my attempts to complain directly to Harvester have been fobbed off.

Now I know it’s not fine dining but I quite enjoyed the breakfast deal at Harvester, it was £8.99 to go all in and have an unlimited breakfast that you build yourself when you order and then drinks and the usual toast etc. I liked this deal because I really like having eggs for breakfast and always ordered 4 poached eggs and then a few other bits (I don’t eat piles of meat at breakfast, maybe 1 sausage!)

They have recently changed the menu and increased the price to £9.49 and when I tried to order my ‘usual’ 4 poached eggs I was told that the maximum is 3 eggs. I obviously ordered 3 but left feeling a little bit stiffed as a maximum of 3 seems like a very low number for a deal that’s advertised as being unlimited.

I tweeted them and they signposted me to a form, I filled in the form but no reply over a week later so tweeted them again and finally got a response.

They advised the menu had changed and there are now limits on what can be ordered (5 bacon, 4 sausages etc) but if you wanted to order another one you’re more than welcome to order another ‘batch’ for £9.49!

I just wondered if it was right for them to be advertising an unlimited deal with such low limits?? Any thoughts?!

Can you post the actual response on here showing exactly what they said because it was my understanding you could order more plates of food included in the original price and you didn't have to pay again!.
