ANPR (automatic number plate reader) a camera that takes single photos of a NUMBER PLATE on entry/exit , sends them to a computer that checks difference in time stamps
they told no lies as CCTV was not being used
ANPR is not CCTV.
We are only interested in the circumstances surrounding the alleged parking event, but you are being sparse with the information which is why we are struggling to understand what happened and how we can help.
Please spend time reading the NEWBIES to understand this scam industry and how to defend yourself against it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
So I came off the motorway pulled into a car park to wait for a friend who was close by but unfortunately took longer than expected. Sat in the car waiting and waiting, did not once leave the car until he arrived to follow him out.
The system would appear to be to go into the Harvester to eat and get your parking but as I was waiting and not parking I didn't leave the car. Should I contact Harvester because after reading it would appear the parking ticket machine is inside the pub?0 -

I have been given no Popla code the email above is the email they have responded.
It simply states your vehicle was not authorised to park ( I didn't even get out the car )
I don't know how to appeal or move forward.
if you worded your inquiry to them as "appeal" they are supposed to issue a POPLa code upon dismissing your appeal , ideally within 30-35 days
if you are confident of the above , then contact the BPA to complain of no POPLa code0 -
Thank you I will contact them in reference to getting no code0

Go back and edit all your posts to remove any and all information about who parked. Do this before you do anything else just in case the scammers don't know the name and address of the driver.
(You have been asked if they know but haven't answered that question).
Then, read the NEWBIES in detail before sending the appeal template in blue you will find there in post 1. I'm guessing the keeper received a NTK through the post as opposed to an NTD left on the windscreen. If the former, then send the appeal from the Keeper, unaltered, before the appeal deadline.
If the latter, then send the appeal from the keeper round day 26.
Use a different email address to the one you used previously. It only takes a few minutes to set up a free Gmail account for example.
The NEWBIES tells you what to do if/when an appeal from a BPA member is rejected.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

No, you contact the BPA if you appealed and don't get a PoPLA code by day 35. You do not contact the PPC if you have appealed.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

Indeed, that is why they have a car park, for diners to park. We have told you several times, you did park. Every judge in the land would say so.
By parking and not using the restaurant you trespassed, and almost certainly breached a contract. IMO, if they take you to court, and they have aligned their ducks precisely, there is a fair chance that they will win.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
So there is no point in appealing because I will loose and to find the £85 I owe. Which after bankruptcy is impossible as I have less than that in my bank a time ........... thank you for trying0

Don't take that advice!
You should of course appeal to popla
Ignore the downbeat #18 and follow the advice you have been given regarding the missing popla code0 -

Nothing downbeat about my post Quentin, and the advice is well up to my very high standard, are you skim reading again!
OP, of course you should appeal, they have many hurdles to jump, challenge them on signage, contract, accreditation, timeliness, etc., but do not expect a miracle, the driver did after all trespass on private land. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
