Ah @South_coast I really needed to hear that 😁 thank you so much. Well today is mortgage day and I’VE DONE IT! I have left my 20s behind (again) only this time I’m dead chuffed about it. My outstanding mortgage balance is now £19,920.04 and my interest charged this time round was £92.67. This also means the formulas I put in my spreadsheet are correct. No more overpayments until payday and then only if there is anything left in my account, I do work it down to £0 balance when my salary goes in. Bit of an expensive few days coming up, hospital parking tomorrow at £3.10 per hour, will need petrol but budgeted for, son has an eye test on Saturday (free and with glasses voucher due to age) then we are visiting family on Sunday (200 mile round trip). We are being gifted an air fryer as my cousin got a new one we are getting her old one. My son’s first reaction was “chips” my was saving a bit of electricity 🤣. Off to make tomato soup for lunch from my last 2 tins of toms, bread rolls on second prove and there’s a cake cooling for the freezer. I need to make my meal plan and shopping list as planning food shop after I’ve finished at the hospital, it’s all go in my world at the moment!SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)4

Been to the hospital and all is ok ❤️. The £9:30 parking charge wasn’t though ☹️. Did a small food shop which came in at £34. Will have to buy some flowers to take with us for Sunday; won’t be getting air fryer until May now as my cousin has left it at her house and is already her mums. Was very productive with my spare time once back from the hospital. I cleaned the car inside and out and then I cleared all the sludge and gravel that had fallen into my small wildlife pond and have re filled it. Hopefully the frogs will be back this year 🤞SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)5

Well that is good news! It’s difficult not to think the worst at times so it must be a weight off your mind. Enough to tackle the car!

Thanks everyone, I'm certainly happier than I was and possibly slightly less narkey!!! The parking charges of £3.10 per hour are extortionate but hey look on the bright side, they have a maximum payment of £15.40 in a 24 hour period. When I had cancer before (different hospital) you got free parking for all your treatment appointments so I don't know if its the same at this one. My son is back telling me how much he missed me; that will last until tomorrow and then he'll be back to normal. He's been to the seaside today with my friend and was fast asleep by 8:30 thanks to the good sea air although I don't think I'll be far behind him.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)3

I am sure you will hot your 2027 targetDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
