Hello all!
I am still here! Still being good (mostly), and although I haven't posted, I have been keeping myself in check and not gone mental! lol
Since I last posted, I have spent exactly £69 on groceries! And covered most supermarkets off whilst doing so! haha A LOT of yellow stickered stuff from Morries (loads of bread in the freezer, and we have enjoyed cream slices, and cupcakes etc as treats. Yum! Yum!). Other main spends have been milk, potatoes, fresh fruit, veg, ham, crisps and alcohol (took advantage of the Sainsburys prosecco special and will take on holiday with us!) - and a moment of weakness in getting a mcdonalds when I had a very tired, very hangry toddler shopping with me! I'm afraid I bribed my way out of that problem! lol
Anyway, new total is £192.98/£300. I am at the halfway mark. Freezers and cupboards full. As is fridge. Only 6 more days until holiday starts, so aiming not to spend anymore than £10 between now and then, especially as I also don't want to leave any fresh food to go off in our absence. Though I do know we will need to top up with butter and a bit of milk. Bread I hope to get reduced from Morries over the weekend and shove in the freezer, and then I expect to also need either potatoes or frozen chips. I think frozen chips might be better as again, potatoes might not last our absence.
Then we will have £100 available for food for our week away. I am doing better than last month, and I actually think I can make target this time!!
Hope you are all well! xxFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Quick update, £28.33/£100 so far this month.
That's £12.83 on actual shopping to keep me going for days, and £15.50 on rubbish during a single day out, which just goes to show the difference between me being good and me being bad...! However, a third of the way through the month and less than a third of the way through the budget, so pretty much on target.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Yesterday I decided to finally take the trip to Boston I had been planning for a while. I just couldn’t commit mentally to it until yesterday afternoon. So, I’m catching a bus early Saturday morning to Boston. Yesterday was a NSD but this evening I picked up some travel snacks for the weekend.
$18.66 on beef jerky, cheese puffs, and dried apples.
TOTALS SO FAR
$112.19 / $450.00
4 / 12 NSD
I’ve a lots of additional snacks packed and will cut up some snacking cheese tomorrow morning before I leave. On the way to the subway station I'll stop at a corner deli to buy a sandwich and water to have on the bus for lunch in case they decide not to stop at a rest area during the 4.5 hour trip.
This should be a good quick weekend trip to visit a couple of friends to catch up and talk career stuff. The only sucky party is OH gave me The Ick (TM) before he left town. Phooey. I’m going to try taking a pill as soon as I settle on the bus that will put me out for a few hours so I can rest some more. Have a good weekend everyone!0 -
Afternoon all
Managed 10 no spend days in a row but had to go shopping today as we ran out of all staples 😀 . Spent £58.06 at Aldi and Morrison’s which included an organic chicken. Meal planned for next 10 days. £41.94 left for last 10 days of month and as son is on holiday I think I can do this. 🤞
Good luck everyoneBlitz that mortgage

£39.52 today. That's dinners for the 2 of us for the next 7 days and lunches/work food for me for the next 5 days (including using stuff from the freezer/cupboards).
Hard cheese (vegetarian), mozzarella, goat's cheese, ricotta, cream cheese, flowers (YS), blueberries (YS), beetroot (YS), sweet potato fries (YS), cucumber (YS), cherries (YS), a bag of salad leaves (YS), 4 jacket potatoes (YS), 4 pints of milk, 8 tortilla wraps, 4 garlic bulbs, a bag of shallots, tomatoes, halloumi, a jar of white sauce, a carton of soup, tzatziki, 2 pots of spaghetti, a pack of ham, tissues, 8 kitchen rolls, washing up liquid, 6 litres of Pepsi max, 2 vegetarian burgers, bubble bath, a pack of lamb mince, a bag of frozen butternut squash and a bottle of squash.
This week's meals are:
1. Pasta ready meals from the freezer
2. Greek style wraps (halloumi for me, lamb for OH) with sweet potato fries
3. Beetroot risotto with goat's cheese and salad
4. Bunless burgers with crispy potatoes and any leftover salad bits
5. Jacket potatoes with cheese, beans for OH, spaghetti for me
6. Ham egg and chips (ham for OH, Quorn gammon for me)
7. Four cheese spring greens lasagne
Lunches will be a combination of salad, soup and wraps with fruit, nuts, yoghurt, fibre bars, crisps and smoothies for snacks.
Brings us to £122.96/300 spent.
2 more weekly shops to do and will need to stock up on dog and cat food before the end of the month, but I think we're doing well!0 -

You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
A Tesco, a Sainsbury and an M&S (late home, blew £12 on just one meal for one!) since last time, and just over the £100 mark. I'm also in London this week so no doubt will have at least £10 to spend on fancy stuff at Wholefoods Market...
Still. A third of the way through the month, meals in for the week, and the storecupboard looking healthy, so ok, I think.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -

Totally!! Amazing stuff there Rachiedabbler70! :T
Was supposed to be a small shop today but ended up costing me £29.30, bringing my total to £118.80/£280 and nsd 6/18.
But meals planned for the next week.
Bought some speciality pizza flour to make home made pizzas tonight, but to be honest, there was no difference between that and aldi's extra strong bread flour for a 1/3 of the price, so won't be buying that again.0
