First few spends today.
£19 at the raw food shop on 4kg dog food and some treats. This should last him 25 days, so will probably stock up again at the end of the month.
£42.77 on our weekly shop - beansprouts, half a cucumber, tomatoes, red peppers, YS bag of salad, 2 baking potatoes, broccoli, an onion, 4 pints of milk, blueberries, 2 bottles of juice, a bag of mozzarella, a bag of cheddar, feta, goats cheese, a small loaf YS bread, 2 packs of YS flatbreads, a pad thai kit, 2 packs of katsu sauce, microwave rice, cat food, 2 packs of cat treats, bin bags, washing detergent, 6 litres of Pepsi max, 6 pack of crisps, a box of cereal and pistachios.
That covers dinner and lunches until next Saturday.
We need to stock up on cat food tomorrow as we only got enough for a few days today.

Hi Elsiepac
Please could you add me in for £100 for full 31 days. Although there are 3 adults in the house from 1st may my eldest is buying his own food and so only me and 19 year old. We have some cupboards stock to use up so I’m going to run very tight and just buy essential items . Youngest is away for last 10 days of month so will be just me and I eat very little and no more than 2 meals in a day. Thanks for running thread 😀😀 and good luck everyone.
Interested in views on whether £140 per month is doable from June with no stocks of food for 2 adults. I shop at Aldi weekly and farm foods monthly for loo rolls, condiments and frozen vegetables. and we don’t drink alcohol or buy takeaways 😀 . It includes basic toiletries and cleaning stuff including dishwasher and clothes washing. Anyone already managing this or less? Sorry for long post I’m just trying to clear mortgage quickly and food is only moveable budgetBlitz that mortgage

Am I too late to join in for this month?
We've taken a big drop in income so I want to try an keep to £100 this month so that we have some money left for the unexpected. I'd really appreciate being able to join in with you guys for the support, and hopefully get some tips from those of you who've done the grocery challenge before!0 -

Morning all. OH and I went some friends’ house yesterday for brunch. The husband of the couple was the DJ at our wedding and he did a phenomenal job, to the extent where everyone’s been commenting about it for weeks now.
About $31.00 at the corner organic store for fruit, juices, and chocolate to contribute to friend brunch. OH kind of went a bit crazy but we also bought with having leftovers for them in mind.
$11.47 again at the corner organic store for ice cream, peanut butter and (American!) potato chips for OH. We stopped there on the way back home and he wanted some junk food.
TOTALS SO FAR
$48.46 / $450.00

Today will likely be a NSD in terms of food but I'll be buying a computer today. That’s going to be a large chunk out of my finances. We also bought train tickets and things last night for some summer travel. I’m looking forward to wrapping my head around finances again.
(BTW, I know we’re married now but I’m still having a hard time calling OH my husband yet. It still feels a bit foreign. That’ll change in time though.)

£14.70 on 80 coffee pods (will last around 3 months) and 2 ready to drink cold coffees.
£3 on some chicken.
£13.99 on cat food (lasts almost 11 days).

3 more weekly shops to go this month, think we're looking ok so far!0
