I'm confused. I bought something for £3.75. After the 25% off it was £2.81. And the SA didn't charge me anything. I thought you could only spend nectar points in blocks of £2.50?
I expected to pay 31p. Have I got a bargin or can you use nectar points for any amount in Debenhams?
On my receipt it just says:
LOYALTY MSR: 2.81
CHANGE: 0.00

Oops, I've just found on the receipt where it says "Points redeemed: 562" so it looks like you don't have to spend them in blocks of £2.50

Thanks for that.littlemissmoney wrote: »Oops, I've just found on the receipt where it says "Points redeemed: 562" so it looks like you don't have to spend them in blocks of £2.50
I know if you redeem them in Argos you have to do it in blocks of £2.50.
I've realised the voucher is valid until some time in January, so might keep it until the January sales

I am really amazed at what I find out on this site! :TI would have chucked out the sainsbury coupons(without even looking at them!) because I don't shop there. I only recently used my nectar clubcard to get some petrol and I think that's why I got the vouchers-it's the first time I've heard from them since barclaycard stopped sponsoring them. Apparently I have nearly 5000 points outstanding from May 2006! So perhaps if you purchase one thing per quarter you get the statement & thus the vouchers?
Can you use all vouchers in all supermarkets or does it only work with tesco & sainsbury's? Most of the time I shop locally @ morrisons.
Cheers for the tip. It made me check the nectar statement which I might have binned with all the other junk mail:rotfl:0 -

It's because you are too good at actually using them, like me!
So you get better vouchers from each shop, the longer that you have stayed away (or not used your nectar card in the last quarter)
:-)
I think this is why Sainsbury's have started sending me useful vouchers.
I stopped doing my main shop there about 4 years ago, when their prices were just stupidly high. MrT was cheaper, with better points...
After a few months Mr S sent me '£4 off wys £80' sort of vouchers: not worth it!
This was repeated every couple of months, the amount I had to spend dropped gradually. About 8 months ago I started dropping in every so often to Mr S as the 'Tu' clothes were good value, grocery prices were down and he has VERY nice reductions.
Recently I had a sheet of 8? '£2 off wys £20' vouchers - I said 'Thank you' nicely and have used a couple!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Just checked my vouchers, and I only got a 100 points Debenhams coupon too. Plus no decent Sainsbury's vouchers.
My neighbour regularly gets a Sainsburys magazine called 'Fresh Ideas' with loads of money off coupons in it (like £10 off if you spend £50 etc). I've never received this magazine or any coupons like this. I think its because I spend a lot of money in Sainsburys. I wonder if I stopped shopping there if the coupons would start arriving?0 -
I'm not sure what the logic is behind Sainsbury's £x off £x spend type vouchers. I used to get them when we lived near a Sansbury's and I shopped there frequently but for small amounts (bread, milk, that sort of stuff). Then we moved and our nearest Sainsbury's is about 15 miles away and I've been there twice in the last year, but... no coupon mailings at all for me now!
(Just the Nectar ones but they're never very good...) 0 -

If you took this offer up, make sure you check your statement because they didn't add my bonus points! I've just phoned them and they said they will be added within 28 days. Hmmm
