    You complain to the seller

Debenhams (for now) and Littlewoods still exist

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Hi guys well an update i asked argos card if i had ppi and they said yes cover care.
just got letter from them with £455.21 full and final settlement.
Unsure if its correct or not as when i did my cap one account ppi was from 2004 for £125.06 but got two grand back.
Attached is a scan from part of my letter from argos explaining interest etc wit the figures on but unsure if they have worked it out correctly.
can anyone make heads or tails from it
    Cheers

Yes, they've worked it out correctly.

    It's a defined formula.

No point comparing redress amounts for different firms and times.
You are refunded only what you actually paid (plus interest). Is that £30 more overall or just per month? Looks like the interest accrued for far longer on the Cap One account.

No one here knows how much you did or did not pay.

You can really only question the amount awarded if you have evidence (statements etc) which show you paid more than is being refunded.

Standalone regular premium cover is not debt specific. However, those built into a credit agreement (such as credit cards or store cards) only cover the debt they are linked to.

  • Have you repaid the balance in full? In this case, the PPI would not have been charged.
