Have been reading your diary from the beginning, and thought how many challenging times you have had and how you have come through with such steadfastness and hope for the future. My thoughts are with you, as I see so many MSE friends are this week, when saying goodbye is so hard in these such difficult times.
best wishes BMLife is an adventure, never stop exploring.3 -
I got back late on Sunday night , I went on Wednesday evening. The traffic was very light both ways and a pleasure to do.The funeral was very surreal and it was so windy , the ministers coats were all over the place round the grave.
We were there about 20 mins altogether and then back home. There will be a thanksgiving service next spring In the village church.I still have t really digested that my friend has gone . I managed a walk on a beach which was lovely. My dad has had an MRI scan and is having some heart tests in the next few weeks, but seems ok at the minute.I am off this week, Monday I went shopping and did housework. Yesterday I had to pick up a toaster for my dad from Argos , it turned into a saga but eventually we got sorted . In the afternoon I made the decision to drive to the Lake District, I delivered a birthday card and flowers to my friend . I then had a walk with an ice cream, the peace descended on me as it does every time I go. A very pleasant afternoon I had.Today I have enjoyed a long walk and some downtime , much needed . Tomorrow my friend and I are having a socially distanced walk around a lake and a takeaway coffee at the end. We are both going in our own cars . The view from my seat yesterday whilst eating ice cream.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.5 -
What a beautiful view. I'm not surprised it fills you with calm. I love water and how it laps against the shore. There is something so soothing about that sound. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I'm glad the funeral went as well as it could have done and that you had a peaceful time at the Lake District. I find water very soothing too. Meeting a friend must have done you good too
