Have spoken to my cousin in Barcelona this evening, they are on lockdown. She had to queue for an hour to go in the supermarket today as they are only letting a few people in at a time. Another cousin in Italy has the same thing , maybe it will come in here. One more cousin in SAN Diego not heard from him yet. We are a well spread family 😂Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Dad and I arrived at Aldi at 8.30am to no shopping trolleys and baskets left they were that busy. Managed to get Dad a trolley and a basket for me . To be fair Aldi had everything in, got pasta and long life milk for DD . The queues were the length of the store , no social distancing going on. 30 mins later go out of the store , took my dad home , then left as am trying to keep parents safe. My DD is going to shop tomorrow at Mr T at 9.00am as she is NHS I hope she gets what she needs.Went to the tip, that was mad as well, people doing DIY and decluttering whilst they have all this time . Done a walk 8000 steps , now lunch and then housework.Have a good day everyone.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

That's great you and Dad managed to get what you wanted. Hope DD is successful tomorrow.Yes I suppose the tip will be manic - I went into my local dress agency today as she is shutting up for now and I had to collect some winter bits that didn't sell. She said she was going to rope in her family and spend the time smartening up the shop, sorting out the bags at the back that people hadn't picked up and making trips to the tip! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Glad you got what was needed. I went to Lidl and it wasn't so bad. I only needed a few bits and pieces and they had lots of pasta and bread and milk as well. They had toilet rolls and also baby wipes. Some people were trying to buy 8 packs and they were told they were only allowed one, one bottle of milk as well. I think that is a great idea. Stop the people being greedy. They also had paracetamol. My mum and sister are out so I bought two packets one for each of them. I felt bad taking two, but knew it was for people who did actually need them. I always have paracetamol in as it is the only pain relief I am allowed to take. People taking it unnecessarily are putting other people at risk.
Our local Lidl did have lots of products in and I felt relieved. Other than the odd person, most people seemed to be shopping sensibly.
Little one wants to go for a walk today. I have been trying to explain to her what is happening, but she doesn't understand too much, and I don't want to worry her either.
We had a restaurant booked tonight, but have changed it to takeaway instead. It will be with my sister and parents so that we can all have a meal together for Mother's day.
I'm not even looking at finances at the minute. It just isn't worth it!

It's time the shops put away the trolleys and just allowed one basket per person as well as limiting amounts. I think most of us are putting finances on a back burner right now Nicnak, we have bigger fish to fry.

One thing I couldn't get was gluten free flour. I am almost out and do actually need it, but people have switched to that now that normal flour has also sold out.
