Working from home was better today, more routine coming into the day. Got outside for a walk today and got soaked.
Discussing the DGC being home indefinitely with DD , she can work from home and has some back up from family who are healthy and not above 70.
I am staying positive , just doing the one day at a time . My parents are taking to the isolating quite well. They are going on twice daily walks on quiet streets .
Taking my dad shopping on Saturday, not looking forward to that.

Good luck with the Saturday shopping. The shelves will probably be empty by then 😩

Taking one day at a time is key at the moment.

  • I'm glad your parents and DD are going to be able to cope. Is it safe for your dad to go the shops with you? Can he give you a list instead?

I don’t blame your dad, keep your distance from people and stay safe though. Hopefully the shops will have a bit more stock in.
I’m pleased you are settling to working at home.....crazy times😱

Bit happier with the WFH tonight as I gained full access to all our systems just as I was finishing tonight, so from Monday will be in action.

DD drew up a childminding plan tonight , she needs to work as she is a health visitor and there are some people who still need visiting. The upshot is I could be having them whilst I am working from home as well for one morning a week. However we need to do these things to survive at the minute .
I have done a click and collect order for the 28th March from mr A as I am doing my parents shopping as well , so 4 bananas between two households won't go far.
Have told dad this is his last week doing his own shopping I will do it from next weekend.

How much of the order I get is anyone's guess.

Yes - here's to getting back to some normality and stocked supermarket shelves.

I love it that your dad's so positive - we can all learn from the older generation.

    Take care. X

When I worked from home with my broken leg I found that I had to really think what day it was at the weekend and did I need to log on that day - just a month back at the office and now I've got to go through it all over again 🤣
