Hi there - hope everything goes positively for your family members re Covid.
Glad to hear your DD and SIL enjoyed  their anniversary night out - it's good that they have had something to celebrate as you can't go to Tenerife now. ☹️
I only have the iPhone 6 so I can't download the app either.  Though I've found places are happy to take one's contact details.
Hope you have a good walk today - still teeming here at the moment!
P.S. re meeting up with your old male friend - beware!😀

Enjoy your caravan stay - hopefully you’ll get chance for some lovely walks.
It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since we met and did a bit of Christmas shopping last year.....and it’s that time of year again.

  • Sorry to hear about your niece, but good that you are all close enough to help each other as needed.
I am another who is unable to download the app due to my phone.
I hope you enjoy your time off despite not going away after all.

    Hi Milann,

I am going to the caravan on Tuesday , as long as Boris doesn't change anything drastically.

Afternoon  lovely and sunny just nice for a walk so that's what I did. I spoke to my niece on FaceTime yesterday, her breathing is laboured but she seems better than this time last week.
By rights we should have been on a beach in Tenerife now but better safe than sorry I guess . My DD is having lovely family time down south with her family,  and the GKs were very excited by a firework display last night . I can't believe my baby is 30 tomorrow, I am going to collect her cake shortly. Going to decorate her house with banners and balloons for her return.
My dad was very serious this morning , he had done a list of all their direct debits , savings and investments for me , just in case I need them. It's very sad to think one day they won't be here . I am very grateful that they are still here , even though they are a nightmare sometimes .
Tomorrow I am taking my mum to a big garden centre to spend her birthday vouchers , the place has a massive Xmas dept opening on Wednesday so we want to avoid all those crowds . Tuesday hopefully will be going to the caravan, I have my book to take with me. Looking forward to a walk by the coast in my fave place .
Made a great start in my Xmas shopping , GKs all sorted, Xmas cards bought. Hoping to go to the big shopping centre with DD to get SIL present and DGD birthday present. Of course all these things depend on Boris's announcement tomorrow.
I am off until the 21st so plenty to keep me busy.

  • Cake all ready for tomorrow, not unwrapping it , still have to transport to DD's .
