Enjoy your 2 week holiday. Have fun with your mum.
    January spends - £587.58
  • Well this week has been filled with highs and lows . Last weekend my parents and I enjoyed a little break by the sea in Yorkshire . They liked the change of scenery. On Wednesday we popped to Windermere for a posh afternoon tea , I had a voucher that I had won at Christmas for this hotel so this went towards it. My parents came as it was a treat for my mums 80th which is tomorrow. We were originally having a family tea party but that got quashed owing to local restrictions. We still have a cake , balloon and banners going up.
The low for me was that I have been banned from the craft week owing to where I live having a very high Covid rate. I had my monthly Covid test yesterday and it came back negative but can't go anyway. The hotel were next to useless , I only found out I was banned by a sheer fluke . Anyway I have salvaged a break for myself in my happy place Windermere by myself. I am looking forward to a couple of distanced walks with a friend .
Things can change at the drop of a hat , so embrace everything at the moment . DGS has been back at school a full week now and has loved it. DGD starts in a week or so, I will then be redundant on Fridays until pick up time.
Another of my friends is selling up and moving 20 miles away , I am quite sad but pleased for her and her DH, they are moving nearer to their son.
I am enjoying my time away from work , trying to do as much as I can within the restrictions imposed.
Up early tomorrow to go and give my mum her cake and presents .
Everyone have a good weekend .
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.
