The more I think about it, it's not such a great idea to have extra money over a long weekend :rotfl: Slow money is better than no money!

03002003310 they keep telling me different stuff. Absolute nightmare

Proving my earlier point they just have a bunch of stock answers to give out the one you get depends on who you speak to. It's a dangerous game keep calling back.

The worst thing you can do is call HMRC asking about your payment. The staff on the phones have no idea when your payment will be issued and no power to speed up a payment. They will give you one of a few various stock responses to get you off the phone. They do however have the power to flag your account for a security check so while you are on the phone and they have your account open in front of them it increases the possibility of delaying your payment not speeding it up. If you have had 20 calls in a row asking the same question as they have this time of year it's human nature to start getting annoyed and clicking the flag account button.

Rebates happen very fast in this country compared to some but don't expect them to rush paying out 100's of millions of pounds just so people can go shopping or sit in the pub all bank holiday weekend.

This is the best answer. I worked before in a call center and i can confirm this :) , if we get angry we can do a lot of stuff on your account just to bother you back. :D

    So, i guess 95 % it's gonna be after Easter. :j

I think as long as your not rude to them or disrespectful it doesn't matter how many times you call them... Obviously I wouldn't advise calling them 20 times a day :rotfl::rotfl:.... I don't ring them I contact them via online... I'd say we are just waiting for them to do the first payroll
  • Yeah some truth in that i guess, it would save me going on a right jolly up this weekend

If we do recieve our payments next week we can consider ourselves lucky, considering the fiascos of previous years where people have had to wait weeks on end and even into months to go through security checks

I done mine on the 6th I'm hoping it will get issued today and in my bank tomorrow every year I've had it in my bank on the 18th. It's a bit bigger than most years tho due to the amount of traveling I've done so I'm hoping for no hiccups

I am in the same boat as you! Submitted on the 6th and been on bank repayment pending since beginning of week Have received payment last 2 years on a Wednesday and into bank on thursday ..does yours say bank repayment pending
  • Everybody has " bank repaiment pending" , they didnt start sending payments yet.
Maybe tomorrow it's our lucky day and we see "issued" in the morning and payment until after-noon.

But... its verry unlikely to pay somebody until easter.
