    Surely they would want to get some at least issued before the bank Holidays :eek:
  • So... that's it ,even if they process tomorrow it will be too late.
    The only chance is to get processed today and tomorrow to receive payment... but i dont know .. i think they dont care anyway...

    Jackodug what number did you ring mate I tried 2 different numbers yesterday the first time i got automated response saying we are very busy at the moment and the machine just canceled the call second time I rang also got a automated response asked to key in the date I filled then put through to a recorded message saying not to call back untill after May 4th

    I thought when it gets processed it has yesterday's date at the top near your name... Then where it says pending date you get that days date..with payment issued.. . Am I thinking right??
  • They only ever issue on a Monday, a Wednesday or a Friday. No other days, so if it isn't issued during the update in the early hours of tomorrow morning I doubt very much wither it will be issued on Good Friday. The Monday is also a Bank holiday so it would be the Wednesday 24th.

  • Wow :mad: thanks for the update jack. Anyone else spoke to them and can confirm this?! I spoke to them monday and they said it could take up to the 25th (that being the 10th working day after the 9th when the repayment showed on the system) but hoped it would issue sooner.

    I got a feeling it will next week now :(

    The worst thing you can do is call HMRC asking about your payment. The staff on the phones have no idea when your payment will be issued and no power to speed up a payment. They will give you one of a few various stock responses to get you off the phone. They do however have the power to flag your account for a security check so while you are on the phone and they have your account open in front of them it increases the possibility of delaying your payment not speeding it up. If you have had 20 calls in a row asking the same question as they have this time of year it's human nature to start getting annoyed and clicking the flag account button.

    Rebates happen very fast in this country compared to some but don't expect them to rush paying out 100's of millions of pounds just so people can go shopping or sit in the pub all bank holiday weekend.
