Can someone open 2022 thread and close all those relating to earlier years? Otherwise we will have four operating simultaneously like last year?1

Put mine in this morning wonder how long it will take this year last year I got taken for identity check which took 9 months so surely this year shouldn’t happen again… when you go to request payment section it asks to prove identity there maybe that’s a new thing they’ve done….1

Hi I had a red message flash up saying that the amount for the grants does not match the amount they have on their records. The amount they have matches exactly the Grants 1,2 and 3 which were in last years tax return. I didn't claim grant 4 or 5. What did the online advisor say to do? I have rang HMRC Self Assessment helpline but they said ring the grants helpline, the grants helpline just confirmed that the amounts and dates I have were correct but couldn't say what to do about the tax return. I messaged HMRC helpdesk on Twitter and they are saying just override the amount and continue which I am worried about doing. Did they say if it was some kind of glitch that will be fixed?0

this year is different anyway.
I did mine this morning and had to answer questions about my credit file (luckily I have Experian) and input my passport details.
you’re still met with the same statement at the end about up to 2 weeks to receive, security checks and don’t contact us for at least 4 weeks etc.
I was hopeful the security questions etc was a sign of the system speeding up.0 -
Yeah I done the same it’s the identity check which they done by letter last year they made it digital to speed things up so hopefully goes through fine0
